Well, Akira's sons saved Mikado from Certain Death at the hands of
the Russians, so out of grattitude, Happi gave them someone else's land.
Based on what I _do_ know of feudal Japanese law -- the emperor owns all
the land. All of it. So he can do stuff like that. I don't know that
they WOULD, since most emperors after, hmm.... some point way long ago,
were just figureheads.
