Actually, the comma being inside of the quotes is correct english.
Only for computer programming does the comma goes outside :)
Or are you suggesting '' instead of "" ? For that, too, I think that
the original is right. Outermost quotes should always be "", a nested
set of quotes within that (when one person is quoting another person)
should be '', quotes within that would be "", etc.
eg:
John said, "So she said to me, 'You Jerk!' and then slapped me."

I don't think his problem is the girl-girl aspect of the relationship,
but rather the angel-demon aspect of the relationship.
However, considering that this *is* Thor, a god, who "in the old days"
presumably didn't have to deal with *either* angels or demons, it does
seem like an odd comment.

This also supports the idea that the problem is the angel-demon part,
not the girl-girl part... after all, Lipton's a city cop, so presumably
he's seen every kind of relationship that humans can get into; learning
of two females who liked each other "that" way would be unlikely to
bother him, if they weren't an angel and a demon.
