This is definitely one of the best NGE fics being released,
possibly my favorite NGE continuation. Shinji's seemed to have
started on the path of growing a set, a somewhat belated choice
of paths as it seems this is almost the end of everything.
Asuka's come through her little hell and better for it.

What I'm having a hard time accepting are are the changes in Rei.
Perhaps I missed it, but her transformation away from being a
pure doll seemed without a catalyst. Admittedly there were any
number of horrific events, but those didn't serve as a spark in
the OS so I'm not quite sure why they would have now. Of course,
Rei did seem to be slowlly humanizing throughout the OS, so if
this is just that course of events taken to their logical
conclusion, I understand. 

Gendo's death seemed anticlimactic, most especially in his last
words. If that was what you were going for, huzzah. Since it
seemed you were intending for the almost total reversal of his
character to speak for the concealed turmoi within, it seemed to
fit very well. I don't particularily like it, but that's probably
just a difference of style.
