People tell Bob how to write Bob's story.
A: We call this criticism.
B: Bob is free to ignore it.
Bob doesn't like this. O_O
So Bob says so.
A: 'Bob' is abusing the forum by saying, "I'm better than all yous,
give me only good C&Cs, thank yous, have a nice day."
B: He said so only AFTER numerous people went OUT OF THEIR WAY to
comment on the story, point out places where it's weak, correct his
grammar and spelling, and until it's over, he utters nary a word of
aknowledgement other than, "Oh, yeah, I saw that."
Yay Bob.
How does he say so?
Simple. He writes another story to relax his mind so he can find, once ag=
ain,
the original story he was writing.
I reiterate: Yay Bob.
In no place whatsoever did C.Jones say anything even slightly insulting o=
r
deragatory anywhere. I view his _very_ carefully written comments as, of =
all
things, a Rorshach test. In other words, you brought to them what you alr=
eady
had with you. =
Um. No.
I actually went out of my way to C&C a chapter. Noakes, Mr. Payne,
and a number of others did the same. Some of them (Mr. Menard) can take
his blatant disregard for their feedback in stride. Many do not.
Personally, I consider Jones refusal to aknoweldge Mr. Noakes and the
others efforts without even so much as a, "Thank you, but that's not
what I had in mind for my story," an extreme dishonor to both the
institution of the FFML, and every author he slighted.
This list exists, as far as I understand it, to provide feedback and
criticism on (anime/manga based) stories. Mr. Jones essentially stated
that he didn't care for anything but positive feedback. Grammar
suggestions/corrections were apparently summarily dismissed (I certainly
never saw mine aknowledged), story opinions, and anything else but
praise is also ignored. I consider this an attempt at abusing the list,
because anyone who bothers to C&C for Jones was told (after all of their
efforts), "Oh, by the way, I don't care."
Fine. It's his story, and his to do with as he sees fit. But he's
wasting my bandwidth if he's posting something he wants nothing but
praise for. Either he should stick with ff.net (they have the kind of
feedback he wants) or he should only post a link to an updated website
if he doesn't want C&C. I think he owes the FFML and everyone who wasted
their time C&Cing him an apology.

Good lord, you people go balls to the wall(with good reason) if plagerism=

discovered. C.Jones felt the controls of HIS story were slipping away. He=

step to correct it. Than he said so.
The only excuse(in my opinion) for this ..rather disaproving behaivior be=

exihibited is if C.Jones sent messages to all attempts at feedback summed=
up
as: GO WAY! YOU BAD PERSON! YOU STOOPID PEIRSON! I DO NO NEED YOU TALKING=
STOOPID TALK!! MY STORY! MINE! I IS A GENUZZ!!
Now if that happened I'd recomend he be sedated.

Your defending a point that none of us can see to be visible. I
certainly didn't see anyone post to the list, "Mr. Jones, you need to
change this."
No, there were a good number of debates calling for him to
reconsider points carefully, but I saw not a single demand ordering him
how to write his stories.
If Jones is afraid of his visions being corrupted by feedback, then
(again!) he shouldn't post to the list.
If you don't like it, if you don't like the actions of C.Jones the answer=
is
very, very simple. (And it is repeated in a billion fanfics, in a billion=
genres over the internet.) Do Not Read It.
I won't, but due to the way that mail filters work, he's STILL going
to be wasting my bandwidth every time he posts.
Of course I'm biased. I'll openly admit that. =
