This may be a little OT, but there's a few things about the Transformers
post-movie episodes that are getting in the way of a fanfic I have
planned.
1. We know a Headmaster can't transform without the head unit, but what
are the benefits it has over your run of the mill Transformer? What about
Targetmasters?
You forgot about the Powermasters. This is really answered in the comic. The
headmaster really didn't get much of an upgrade besides being able to deal
with more situations (having a human/nebluean as a partner). The target
masters got much more powerful weopon with increased ability to accually hit
things (to prevent storm trooper syndrom that many transformers seemed to
suffer from ^_^). The Power masters got an all around boost and the ability
to use a wide veriety of things as fuel that used to be to 'unrefined" for
their consumption.
2. Why do Autobots such as Kup, Wheelie and Arcee never get an
Earth-style transformation but Autobots such as Ultra Magnus and Goldbug
do get one?
Never where rebuilt, not made on earth, and alot of the earth vehicles in
those latter eposodes where sarting to look like them tooo
3. Arcee from post-movie episodes looks remarkably like Alita-1 from
pre-movie. Is this just a coincidence or is it more like a
Bumblebee/Goldbug thing?
not like the bumblebee upgrade, she was the shows nominal female presence.
Maybe also to bring the female autobots back in. Since the series stoped
before ever finishing we maynever know....
4. Whatever happened to Sparkplug and Chip? Do you ever see them in the
post-movie episodes?
nope, but at least they didn't get whole sale slautered with the rest of the
charecters they decided they didn't care to keep...
