Well, I was in a discussion with a prereader, asking about where Princess
Serenity came from...

I hypothesized asexual reproduction, but my prereader said, "Where's the
romance in THAT?!"

    Well, considering that Usagi always calls Chibi-Usa the 'spore', I'd say
that Arby would be able to give you a very good idea about the reproductive
habits of the Lunar Royal Family.

    Arby: Them Roiyal Looniez'r loike 'shroomz, they iz.  Every year, they
goez daown inta' caves deep b'low the surface o' th' moon, and dances 'n a
big Matin' circle.  Then they spreads their sporez t' th' air-currentz so'z
they c'n grow 'n th' warm darkness... 'Oweva', th' unda' world'z gotz lotz
o' wild, predatory carniv'rus fungus, it doez, an' most o' the Roiyal sporez
git eat'n up 'fore they c'n grow big 'nuff ter foightz their way t' th'
surface.  Mos' oft'n, only one 'r tew maike it each gena'ration, an' th'
grownupz don' lift a flippa' t' 'elp. Gotta let most'a th' li'l beggarz doie
off 'r th' moon'd be crawlin' in li'l Sereni'ies... Survoival o' th'
fittes', y'know.  Jus' wouldn't be propa', otha'woise!

    Speaking of references, did anyone comment on your lifting of Arby's
death scene back at the end of the first part of chapter 10 directly from
Kosh's death in Babylon 5?
