The "Sailor Moon Questions" and "Ranma question" threads are banned.
Take them to private mail, or another forum such as rec.arts.anime.misc.
We are getting complaints from users saying that these discussions don't
belong on the list, and they are absolutely right.

Please remember that manga/anime canon discussions (when not in the
context of a specific posted fic) are not what this list is about. It is
the fanfiction mailing list, not the fanfiction authors' ready reference
service. We do allow the posting of questions to the list because fanfic
authors do sometimes need information that other subscribers can give.
To insure that we can continue to allow this (and that we don't have to
tempban you), please follow these rules of courtesy:

1) Don't post questions that would be straightforward to research
somewhere else. In the case of series canon information, there are a lot
of informative web sites out there. The anipike is a good place to start
looking, and there are specific series pages listed in the FFML
Resources Guide, including both Ranma and Sailor Moon.

2) When posting a question to the list, specify that all replies are to
be sent to you privately. Be prepared to forward the replies to other
subscribers who *privately* mail you to indicate that they're interested
in the answer as well.

3) When replying to a question, do so privately. Other subscribers who
might be interested in the answer can privately email the person who
posted the question and ask for replies to be forwarded.
