I'm looking for the name of Akane's mother.  I don't know whether or not
her name is ever mentioned in the series (I'm thinking not, as I'm
fairly well read in Ranma, and I don't remember ever hearing it), but if
it was, or you just have a good suggestion, I would really appreciate
any responses.

There is no official name for Mrs. Tendo.  The most commonly one used is
Kimiko, although I have used different names (Himiko and Nae,
respectively) in my Ranma oriented fics; other ones I've seen used
include Michiko, Atsuko and Marina.  My personal suggestion is to not
use Kimiko, as that only perpetuates the fallacy; use what you feel is
best.
