There's no special tag or request, no. A lot of the factors that
determine responses are out of anyone's control. In your case, I didn't
read the fic because I'm not interested in the anime series on which
it's based. That doesn't mean you should change what you write, of
course; everybody has different tastes. It just means that not every fic
is going to appeal to every reader.

There are things you can do to increase your chance of getting
responses, though. Please note that these are general suggestions that I
would give to anyone. The "you" I refer to below is anyone who is
reading this, not L. S. McGill in particular. As I said, I haven't read
your fic, so I have no idea how it fits in with this.

1) POST SOME THOUGHTFUL C&C ON SOMEONE ELSE'S FIC. Personally, I'm much
more likely to read something if it's by someone who I know has been
giving up his or her time to help other writers. When I see people
groveling and pleading for C&C but not posting any of their own, my most
likely reaction is to just ignore them. Why should I do for them what
they're not willing to do for anyone else? (If you don't post comments
publically but do pre-reading or other private feedback, that's fine;
just mention this when you ask for C&C on your own work.)

2) RESPOND TO FEEDBACK THAT YOU DO GET. If I don't receive a reply from
someone, I tend to assume he or she isn't interested in what I have to
say. You don't have to agree with the comments that someone makes, but
do show them that you've given their response some serious
consideration.

3) DO YOUR BEST TO PUT OUT WORK OF QUALITY. Obviously, we're all at
different levels of skill. Nobody expects you to be perfect; if you
were, you wouldn't be here. But we can all make our best effort. Format
your work in a readable way. Spellcheck. Read the other C&C on the list,
and ask yourself whether any of the problems discussed apply to your
fic, and if you think they do, try to fix them.

4) POST IN MODERATION. Filling up people's mailboxes is a great way to
earn an instant delete from them. Don't post all of your back chapters
when you finish a new one. If you're an unknown author, consider
starting off with something of moderate length; save that epic for when
you've shown everyone how good you are and that you're reliable enough
to finish what you start.

5) AVOID SPAMMING THE LIST with fanfic requests, off-topic debates, and
the like. The people who are most annoyed by this will be the ones most
likely to give you quality feedback.
