Look at the men Urd has been attracted to:

1. Troubadour, a plum tree spirit who couldn't
even fly but who was murderously jealous of
anything
male that got near her.

2. Keiichi - 'nuff said.

3. Shohei, a scrawny, glasses-wearing geek boy
who
didn't hesitate to (illegally) buy Urd a bottle of
good sake when she asked him to, and who was happy
to let her play his brand new video game before he
got a chance to play it.

Well, I don't particularily think they preclude a
Ranma Urd pairing. Perhaps Urd, injured by past love

or whatever, goes after men she can easily dominate
for reassurance?

Well, I shouldn't have said she doesn't like the tough
guys. I can't imagine she'd have anything against
them, just that power isn't a draw for her.

Urd has never gone after a man canonically, unless you
want to count her flirting with Keiichi. Men come to
her and despite her outer demeanor, she has never
dominated them. She's actually pretty tender with her
guys (Troubadour [pre-breakup] and Shohei). Even with
Keiichi she's more about giving advice than
threatening. Not to say that she wouldn't approach a
man whom she found interesting, or even fight for him
if she was sure he was interested in her, but she'd
never put up with the stuff Ryoko does in TM,
following after a guy who doesn't seem to want to
commit to her.

As I recall, she wasn't too bitterly upset about
loosing them, especially K1.

Well, she's not going to do anything that would really
hurt Belldandy. Bell and K1 are happiest together,
and she knows it. Besides, K1 never returned her
affection in anything but a filial manner.

As for Troubadour she wasn't bitter, but certainly
sad, wistful. She still had (arguably has) feelings
for the guy. She just won't ever go back to him
because she's too proud.

As for Shohei, their relationship was doomed since Urd
met him while in child form (but still adult Urd
mentally) due to a system crash.

I haven't read the Shohei arc so I can't speak of
that. Is she after the security because of fear of
pain, but once she has it realises she doesn't want
it? The possibilities are there.

Urd does have insecurities associated with not fitting
in with the other goddesses in Heaven during her
childhood (due to her demon blood). She's worked out
most of them (she can call forth World of Elegance
now, for example) but she still fears losing
Belldandy's love. It's even arguable that she's
dependant upon Belldandy. Other than those weak
points, she's pretty self confident.

Even if Ranma were to develop some of these
traits, remember that Urd never forgave Troubadour

for running off to pursue his license rather than
< staying with her. The fact that he was officially
required to do so didn't matter to Urd. He put
something else ahead
of her and she never forgave him for it.

I could probably be presuaded into believing that's
an excuse. Urd just might be devious enough to
hatch a plan that gets rid of Troubadour and make it

work out like that. More likely, the plan
could have originally been something completely
different and backfired into that.

Eh? Why would she need a plot to get rid of him
assuming she wanted to? She's stronger than he is,
both in power and personality. It was her sense of
pride that was wounded. That's why she wouldn't take
him back, even though she still has feelings for him.

That's the biggest obstacle to their relationship,

IMO, even more so than Ranma being mortal. Ranma
would have to put Urd at the center of his life
with "the art" as a distant second, and I don't
see him doing that.

Eh. Urd's a devious woman. Her luck is almost as bad
as Ranma's. I might be willing to suspend a lot of
disbelief in this on.

Devious? Her plots are short-term, quickly resolved
one way or the other. In other words, she's a
meddler. If you want a goddess who can carry out an
evil master plan, you need Peorth. ^_^ Urd doesn't
have the temperament.

OK, let's see. If Ranma did something nice for Urd
(may have done so in the past, something significant
that made her take notice of him - if he did it when
really young it wouldn't have to be that big a thing
in absolute terms) then showed genuine interest in her
now (crucial point, here), I could see her doing an
Ukyou-like thing for a while, giving Ranma a chance to
tie things up with the others - something that could
take a while and be messy. Neither one is the type to
want to crush somebody emotionally. ^_^ So, as long
as she thought he was honestly trying to ditch his
fiances I think she'd give him the benefit of a doubt,
especially since they were basically her fault.
