I think you are making one of the big and common mistakes of alternate 
universe stories, having things happen exactly the same as they did in 
the real continuity despite changes that should lead to things happening 
differently.  For example in this story, Ranma and Ranko are separate 
people.  Despite this, Kuno still grabs Ranko in the swimming pool.
In order to make this happen, you have Ranko jump into the swimming
pool for no good reason.
