Yay! More Compass Points! Everyone loves Compass Points! Or at least I
do. And that's all that matters, anyway. Or something like that.
Ah! Another of my evil-twins!
[Earth]
[Wind]
[Fire]
[Water]
[Heart]
Our powers combine to form... CAPTAIN PLANET! He's a hero, bringing
pollution down to zero!
Sorry. Couldn't resist.
Nor should you. ;)
Shia Hai found her heart, after all...
"Uh.... Can't you at least pretend to act like a normal
human?" Ryu complained, as the swordsman unhappily sheathed his blade.
Shinnosuke looked genuinely confounded. "Why would I care to
do such a thing?" he asked.
Heh. Very much heh.
What can I say? ;)
Someone else spoke, hesitantly, from the edge of the circle of
magics. Where, was not possible to say, for she was no closer to the
east or west, than north or south, yet she was only at the edge of
the circle. Her voice, wavering and unsure, said, "And I am the
key... the key to Summer."
And with those words, Summer began.
That's it? No massive, 50k long battle against a horrible foe involving
lots of blood, angst, drama, and a final tortured admission of love?
Hmph. Not a proper climax to a Ranma fanfic at all. ^_^
You must have me confused with a _good_ writer. ;)
Anyway. This is based off of Nanashi's 'Fey', which is based off the
earlier chapters of 'Compass Points', which is based off of
Nanashi's 'Soul of Ice' (Deus ex Machina) which is based off of
Matt's 'Soul of Ice', which is based off of Rumiko Takahashi's Ranma
1/2. And something in there is based off of something that's based
off of 'I am Become...'. No, that's not a joke.
That's... complicated. And there might be another link in the chain,
too. I'd have to go back and do all kinds of thinking and work to be
sure that the dates fit, but it's entirely possible that it was Compass
Points that gave my subconsious the idea to name what was supposed to be
a minor oneshot villain in Shades of Gray the Dragon of the North, thus
introducing yet another set of new characters to the mix and drastically
changing the plot, causing me no end of anxiety. (Why can't villains be
well behaved characters and stick to the script?)
So, on the off chance that is the case:
BRIAN!!! THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT!
Aquitted!
Anyways... I'll just say that I've really, really enjoyed Compass Points
and shut up now. Or something.
Well, you're the only person to say so, so thank you kindly! ;)
