This will probably be the last mutation on the thread for a while...
The future is missing.
KEIICHI: <tears falling> Why? Why did she have to...
BELLDANDY: <about half cyber> To try to prevent this. No one else would
have launched their missiles if that first one hadn't detonated. She
had to try to stop it.
KEIICHI: But that only put Skuld at ground zero.
The past, nearly dead.

organic, but living. They have to be, to do what they do. And like
any living creature, when exposed to radiation, they mutate. Slowly,
subtly...but the tapestry of fate is very sensitive to small changes.
And the present...

Usagi sighed in exasperation. Casting call for the series she was to
star in, and as a "perk" of her new job, she was to select her male
co-star. The director had said, given the amount of screen time they
would spend in various romantic activities, she should at least be
comfortable with whoever it was; Usagi thought she detected more
interest in simply dumping the work off on someone else.
THAT's a good intro for a 10-20k piece! ^_^
Ne, what can I say? Practice. ^_^;;;
Personally, I couldn't think of a better way to explain it other than just
jumping in and saying that that was the way things were going to be.
Da. Short pieces don't leave much room for exposition. (Which makes
short, *original* pieces that much harder...)
Heh. Yup, that's basically how a true crossover would be: all the
really macho characters would be holding competitions. The winner
would be whichever author's favorite...
Who says there has to be a winner?
The Mashin vs. an EVA?
Okay, this idea stream has mutated far enough... for now.
Speedy Cervice: Why "Samurai Pizza Cats"? Well, it was that or "Teenage
Mutant Philospher Felines", and Guido figured we could get more pizza if
we were supposed to be making it ourselves.
1: Usagi shows up in the FY universe, meets Tamahome, etc.
The problem with this is that Usagi and Miaka are not that
different, and as such there'd be little point in writing the story.
Miaki: Usagi? Hmm...yes, I *did* have a sister named Usagi. But one
day, she seemed to get pulled into a shonen manga, and we never saw her
again.
2: Usagi gets into the regular SM series and instead of getting
Sailor Mercury for a partner, she starts collecting the Seishi...
This one would have to skip around a lot to avoid the monotony
of having to rewrite the entire series, but it would end with everyone
demanding to marry Usagi. Seeing her reaction is the point of this
one.
Or see the flip side to that: the regular SM senshi expressing similar
levels of affection for Usagi. Which has been done. ^_^;
How was THAT for impact? ^_^
*WHAM!* The Luna-P dove forward, crashing with skull-shattering
force to the side of the man's head, sending him burrowing through the
floor, leaving behind a plowed trench, until his face and shoulders
slammed through wall. The others saw him slide across the front yard,
ricochet off a passing car hard enough to puncture and put a spark in
its gas tank - on the opposite side of the car - with predictable
consequences, punch another hole in the wall on his return flight, and
land at Genma's feet, little birdies fluttering around his head.
YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh, I can do better, if you *really* want... ^_^;;;
*WHAM!* The Luna-P dove forward, crashing with skull-shattering
force to the side of the man's head, sending him burrowing through the
floor, leaving behind a plowed trench, until his face and shoulders
slammed through wall. The others saw him sail across the front yard and
slam through a passing car hard enough to puncture and put a spark in
its gas tank, with predictable consequences. The resulting fireball
obscured his further trajectory through the house across the street,
knocking down enough major supports to collapse what was going to be a
local architect's showcase earthquake-proof home. Fortunately, no
further obstructions presented themselves between the juggernaut and
Tokyo Bay, where Soun began to descend. He had enough presence of mind
to grab the flagpole on the Self Defense Force cruiser he passed;
momentum transfer sent him back towards the cruiser's port and tilted
the cruiser 90 degrees on its rear, which then sunk low enough to become
stuck in the water's shallow bottom. Atmospheric friction had, by this
time, significantly warmed up Soun's skin and clothes, though he did not
realize this until the port he was heading for turned out to be a mostly
fully stocked munitions depot, with a couple crates of ammunition
spilled during loading. Soun's heat was enough to detonate all of it,
giving him just enough additional velocity to sail back to his house,
punch another hole on the opposite side of the door from where he
exited, and almost bowl over Genma - until Luna-P intercepted him with
another sudden dive and crash, exactly cancelling out his remaining
momentum. Soun landed at Genma's feet, only for the local Illusionary
Birds Society to spontaneously declare his head the site for their next
convention, starting immediately.
Luna-P settled back down behind Genma.
"You were saying?" the girl asked, narrowing her eyes slightly.
Soun slowly sat up, dazed for a minute. Slowly, his vision
returned to normal, allowing him to look back at his friend. "Ooooo-
kaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay, you win, I guess." He coughed. "Medic!"
...
Good one! I think I might put this one in....
