This will probably be the last mutation on the thread for a while...

Speaking of which, someone needs to do an SM/Fushigi Yuugi fusion that
replaces almost all of the Sailor Senshi with the Seishi from FY, leaving
Usagi surrounded by a few too many males fighting for her affection. It'd
make at least a good spamfic. The point?

Why climb a mountain? Because it's there.

Usagi sighed in exasperation. Casting call for the series she was to
star in, and as a "perk" of her new job, she was to select her male
co-star. The director had said, given the amount of screen time they
would spend in various romantic activities, she should at least be
comfortable with whoever it was; Usagi thought she detected more
interest in simply dumping the work off on someone else.

THAT's a good intro for a 10-20k piece! ^_^

Personally, I couldn't think of a better way to explain it other than just
jumping in and saying that that was the way things were going to be.

And so she was faced with the lot in front of her. Gendo was trying to
order Kaji away, but Kaji was too busy brawling with Tasuki and Ranma in
an obvious show of masculinity. Leon circled the fight, seemingly torn
between looking cool and biding his time, though Usagi had heard Leon
was already involved with some "Priss" girl. Usagi snickered at that:
to have earned that kind of name, Priss was probably a stuck-up but
harmless waif of a girl. Shinji sat in the corner, hiding - not good:
this character would be saving Usagi on a regular basis.

Heh. Yup, that's basically how a true crossover would be: all the
really macho characters would be holding competitions. The winner
would be whichever author's favorite...

And Priss. Yes, that's a neat analysis of how one might react without
having actually met her. Which would make a good crossover in and
of itself...

"Okay where's that Prissy little girl you've been talking about?!"

(Priss walks in. Beats the tar out of Ranma/Xelloss/whoever.)

Shinji may be hiding in a corner most of the time, and that'd be VERY
apparent to Usagi, but give 'em an EVA... Of course, anyone's fearsome
with an EVA. Even Mokona from Rayearth.

(Mokona piloting an EVA, faces off with an angel)

Humongous Angel(growls)

Gigantic EVA: PUUU! ^_^

Humungous Angel(blinks)

Fuu(cupping her hands and calling): Mokona! Get down from there! We'll
take care of it.

The Mashin vs. an EVA?

Okay, this idea stream has mutated far enough... for now.

Throwing up her hands in frustration, Usagi strode out of the studio.
That this went unnoticed by any of the prospective applicants only
confirmed her dismissal of them all. She soon laid eyes on her friend,
the attractive groundskeeper, then a thought struck her. He was a bit
old for the part - then again, so were half the applicants - but maybe,
with a few tweaks, Mamoru could be molded to the role...

Usagi(snuggling up to Mamoru): You're going to be playing the part
of Tamahome, the lead's love interest who protects her with all his
might... and who beats the tar out of EVERYONE with his BARE
HANDS!!! Mamo-chan, where are you going? (runs after him)

But I was thinking more along the lines of...

1: Usagi shows up in the FY universe, meets Tamahome, etc.
The problem with this is that Usagi and Miaka are not that
different, and as such there'd be little point in writing the story.

2: Usagi gets into the regular SM series and instead of getting
Sailor Mercury for a partner, she starts collecting the Seishi...
This one would have to skip around a lot to avoid the monotony
of having to rewrite the entire series, but it would end with everyone
demanding to marry Usagi. Seeing her reaction is the point of this
one.

The only other idea is a SM/Love Hina sort of thing which replaces
Usagi with... whatshisname and the rest of the Sailor-girls remain
there, or whatever permutation seems comical at the time. (I've
seen a little. I may end up trying to write this one day...)

Eh well, I might eventually write up a quick one of these or another.
I've got three series out already and a fourth one in the works. There
just simply isn't enough creativity left in my brain to handle much
more...

*WHAM!* The Luna-P dove forward, crashing with skull-shattering
force to the side of the man's head, sending him skidding across the
floor until his face slammed up against the wall, little birdies
fluttering around his head.

Luna-P settled back down behind Genma.

"You were saying?" the girl asked, narrowing her eyes slightly.

Soun slowly sat up, dazed for a minute. Slowly, his vision
returned to normal, allowing him to look back at his friend. "Ooooo-
kaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay, you win, I guess." He coughed. "Sheesh."

How was THAT for impact? ^_^

*WHAM!* The Luna-P dove forward, crashing with skull-shattering
force to the side of the man's head, sending him burrowing through the
floor, leaving behind a plowed trench, until his face and shoulders
slammed through wall. The others saw him slide across the front yard,
ricochet off a passing car hard enough to puncture and put a spark in
its gas tank - on the opposite side of the car - with predictable
consequences, punch another hole in the wall on his return flight, and
land at Genma's feet, little birdies fluttering around his head.

YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!!!!!!!!

"Medic!"

...

Good one! I think I might put this one in....

Suddenly, there was the distant crash of ominous thunder. The
young man looked up and noticed that the skys were getting dark. It
was probably going to rain soon.

"skies", not "skys". Just to have one legitimate piece of C&C here...
^_-

Oh. Right! I was thinking that skies was the plural for 'ski,' which is skis
in the plural. Ain't the English language fun?

Thanks for the suggestions! I think they'll work out quite well.

Now back to writing......................
