Hm. Yeah, she was mortified and all... though,
really... she was an unfortunately tragic character
to begin with. I saw a mile away she was going to do
what she did when I first watched her appear in GK.

I know what you mean - she found something likeable in
an Invader and from the first she was drawn to the
Dark Side.  Anyone with sense would have watched her
carefully.  But then, whoever accused an anime
character of common sense?

How

many missions depended on the Gate of Protection,
rather than Ukiya's Gate of Wind, or Ruriko's

Gate of

Life?  Even the Gate of *Illusion* is more

important

to AEGIS.

Reminds me of the episode where she keeps on
hounding Reiko's ineptittude of her use of the Gate
of Illusion. ^^;

	Methinks she's being hard on herself, given how

rarely the Gate of 

Illusion ever actually worked out.

But you have to admit, it has rarely been used if at
all.

It may never have been successfully used - but on at
least three missions they planned to use it as a major
weapon, and Reiko's ditziness frustrated them at the
last minute.  If I'd been Megumi, that would have
burned me up, especially as the Gate of Protection
could have been used in various places at various
times to great effect and it never was.

	His Gate was black.  Mine is not - it's still

green. 

Which proves to me that this darkness at the

bottom of

my heart is not imposed, as it was on Ruriko, nor

is

it a madness, as it was with him, but a part of

me. 

Which means that it will never go away.

Er... her gate became black, methinks. She chose
to... that's how she was able to 'use' her gate the
way she could.

When she declared herself for Shadow and the Invaders,
her Gate *did* go black. However - Kageyama's gate was
black, and when he used it, the power flows were
coloured black, and when Ruriko activated the Gate of
Genocide, it and her arrow were black, but when Megumi
had Ruriko in the Diet Building, the power of her
Gate, as she manipulated Ruriko's feelings, was green.
So I'm assuming that Megumi's gate stayed green and
*didn't* go black - she somehow 'coloured' it as she
made her declaration.  Remember, she didn't stick
around or use it.

This would fit in with my theory that Megumi was not
insane and wasn't forced into her position, but that
Kageyama tapped into what was already seething within
her.
 

	Well, I'm afraid I can't offer any constructive

criticism on this 

one, other than that one comment. It's probably a

little deeper than 

Megumi was ever meant to go, but I think on its

own, this work is 

just about perfect.

I beg to disagree... that Megumi was about just
that, really. ^^ It explains nicely her (though
somewhat limited) POV on things... why Kageyama
affected her as such, and why she did what she did.
It's apt and deep enough as is. ^^
