I'm getting Fushigi Yugi flashbacks.
Speaking of which, someone needs to do an SM/Fushigi Yuugi fusion that
replaces almost all of the Sailor Senshi with the Seishi from FY, leaving
Usagi surrounded by a few too many males fighting for her affection. It'd
make at least a good spamfic. The point?
Why climb a mountain? Because it's there.
Usagi sighed in exasperation. Casting call for the series she was to
star in, and as a "perk" of her new job, she was to select her male
co-star. The director had said, given the amount of screen time they
would spend in various romantic activities, she should at least be
comfortable with whoever it was; Usagi thought she detected more
interest in simply dumping the work off on someone else.
And so she was faced with the lot in front of her. Gendo was trying to
order Kaji away, but Kaji was too busy brawling with Tasuki and Ranma in
an obvious show of masculinity. Leon circled the fight, seemingly torn
between looking cool and biding his time, though Usagi had heard Leon
was already involved with some "Priss" girl. Usagi snickered at that:
to have earned that kind of name, Priss was probably a stuck-up but
harmless waif of a girl. Shinji sat in the corner, hiding - not good:
this character would be saving Usagi on a regular basis.
Throwing up her hands in frustration, Usagi strode out of the studio.
That this went unnoticed by any of the prospective applicants only
confirmed her dismissal of them all. She soon laid eyes on her friend,
the attractive groundskeeper, then a thought struck her. He was a bit
old for the part - then again, so were half the applicants - but maybe,
with a few tweaks, Mamoru could be molded to the role...

Er... person the pun but, 'hitting' lacks impact.
One bad pun deserves another! ^_^
*WHAM!* The Luna-P dove forward, crashing with skull-shattering
force to the side of the man's head, sending him skidding across the
floor until his face slammed up against the wall, little birdies
fluttering around his head.
Luna-P settled back down behind Genma.
"You were saying?" the girl asked, narrowing her eyes slightly.
Soun slowly sat up, dazed for a minute. Slowly, his vision
returned to normal, allowing him to look back at his friend. "Ooooo-
kaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay, you win, I guess." He coughed. "Sheesh."
How was THAT for impact? ^_^
*WHAM!* The Luna-P dove forward, crashing with skull-shattering
force to the side of the man's head, sending him burrowing through the
floor, leaving behind a plowed trench, until his face and shoulders
slammed through wall. The others saw him slide across the front yard,
ricochet off a passing car hard enough to puncture and put a spark in
its gas tank - on the opposite side of the car - with predictable
consequences, punch another hole in the wall on his return flight, and
land at Genma's feet, little birdies fluttering around his head.
"Medic!"
Suddenly, there was the distant crash of ominous thunder. The
young man looked up and noticed that the skys were getting dark. It
was probably going to rain soon.
"skies", not "skys". Just to have one legitimate piece of C&C here...
