Looks like a fun idea! Its weird that you mention you've only seen the FF
movie, 'cause the scene you wrote is very similar to the first meeting
between Joe Higashi and Terry Bogard in the first OAV (Fatal Fury). Joe's
drinking in a bar, Terry sits down next to him, they go shot-for-shot for a
bit, then punks start a fight in which Joe and Terry kick major ass.

I know _most_ of Terry's moves (I used his kid in a fic, once, and I played
the game years ago) His main move is the Burnt Knuckle, basically a
supercharged ki-punch, then there's Power Wave, where he uses the Burnt
Knuckle Ryoga-style to tear up the ground in front of him, and his super
move is unnamed in the anime, IIRC, but it's basically the Ultimate
technique of his family school- He and his brother Andy fight using the
Hakyoku Saken style (I might have romanized that wrong, but that's how it's
pronounced) He assumes a basic stance, draws ki up from the earth (a glow
starts at his feet, travels up his legs, and he starts sporting a green
battle aura) then he throws an uppercut, and a whirlwind engulfs his
opponent. sort of a mini- Hiryu Shoten Ha.

    BTW, I liked the idea springboard at the bottom. I had a similar idea
about Ranma, Tenchi and Ataru Moroboshi running into each other at a bar and
bitching about girl troubles, but I found out it's been done. Sigh. Anyway,
if you continue this, I'll happily read it.
