Disruptor here. I revised it and changed names. Now the only thing it
shares in common with Teru(Zenmai-chan) is that both of them got swept
off of their island. Beyond that.

I ned a better name though. Any idea?(email those privately)

Disclaimer: Err. I'm not sure about this one This isn't based off of
Zenmai Jikake no Tina, but this CGI site:
http://www.linkclub.or.jp/~minakami/
and the music video on it. But after the what I used from the video is
gone, this story will be pretty much mine. The video belongs to
Minakami and I make no money off of it by writing this story. Tis the
season for stories such as theese ^_^

Somewhere in the Alantic Ocean is a strange island. The Island of
Tingir. The people who inhabit this tropical island all have keys in
their backs.

A girl about fifteen with orange hair, done in a single pony-tail, and
a key in her back was looking into a small lake, that was surrounded by
woods.

"Naia? Are you there?" the girl called out.

A sudden bubbling came from the lake near the girl and a samll unclad
woman rose from the lake and hovered above the surface.

"Hi, Estelle," Naia answered. "Bored with palace life again?"

Estelle nodded. "It's just the same routine day after day."

Naia laughed a bit and said, "Of course it is. You're all wind-ups.
Routine is part of your life."

Estelle was about to say something when her key stopped and she froze
in place. Naia sighed and glided behind Estelle. Naia grabbed the
large key and started turning it in clockwise. From Estelle's body
could be heard a clicking sound as the key was turned. Naia finished
winding her friend up and propelled herself back to where she was before
Estelle had wound down.

"Thanks, Naia. Mother, doesn't like it when she has to send one of the
guards to wind me back up, so I can come home."

Naia shook her head and said, "She has every reaon to worry."

"I know. It's just that I want to see new things," Estelle said.
"There has to be more than what's in the library."

"Maybe," Naia said with a shrug. "But, I can't think of anything."

A voice called out from the woods.

	"Princess? Princess Estelle?"

Estelle's shoulders slumped. "I have to go Naia. It's time for my
lessons with Sage Prentecia."

"Later, Estelle," Naia said as she dropped back into the water.

Estelle got up and walked slowly towards the sound of Prentecia's
voice. She stopped when she saw him. Prentecia's white mustache and
hair were the only things that marked how old he really was. Like all
Tingirians, his body and face remained youthful looking.

As soon as Prentecia saw Estelle, he said, "Princess. Good. We have
to get back to the palace soon."

"Why? We usually have my lessons whereever we're at."

"This isn't about lessons, Princess. Please. Let's get back to the
palace."

Estelle nodded and walked at a brisk pac, but not fast enough to cause
her to wind down. Soon, Estelle and Prentecia had made their way back
to the palace. Estelle hid a grimace as one of the palace guards wound
the two of them back up. The two were escorted into the throne room.
Seated on the thrones were King Illus Tulius and his wife Lida. Illus
stroked his black beard and stared at his daughter with sad eyes. With
her blonde hair done in a page-boy cut, Lida looked like she was
Estelle's older sister and not her mother.

"King Illus and Queen Lida, I have found your daughter," Prentecia
announced.

Illus nodded and responded softly. "Just in time, Calleo. Good work.
Now leave and take the guards with you."

Sage Calleo Prentecia did as his king asked, leaving the royal family
alone. Illus stood up and hugged Estelle.

"Estelle, my daughter," Illus began. "I do love you and wish that
things could be different, but they cannont. Good-bye."

Estelle, confused, watched as her father put his crown down on the
throne and walked out of the room. A sudden baying put a cold feeling
in Estelle's midriff. She ran to a window and saw a white stagecoach
being pulled by six white wolves. Each wolf stood about six feet tall.
Sitting on top of the stagecoach, was a man in a white robe. The hood
of the robe covered his face and could not be seen. The driver pulled
out a scroll and started reading names. Estelle felt like she would
break her mainspring as she heard her father's name called.

"No. No," Estelle sobbed. "Daddy, please don't go."

Lida pulled her daughter away from the window and hugged her. She was
also crying for her husband.

"Shh. It'll be all right. Sooner or later we all have to board the
White Driver's ride."

Estelle said nothing as she hugged her mother tighter. Trying to keep
from winding down, Lida picked up Estelle and carried her into her
bedroom.

"Sleep well. Tomorrow's another day," Lida said, as she placed Estelle
next to the giant pillow, or wall-bed, standing on one side of the wall.

"Mom?" Estelle asked, still sobbing. "Where do we go after we die?"

"I don't know," Lida replied. "Someday, we'll see your father again."

Estelle just nodded and sobbed some more. Lida closed the door and
left the room.

"Daddy's dead. Why? Why did he have to die?" Estelle said to
herself. "All because of our routines. Everything is in perfect order
and controlled. If things were more random, maybe he wouldn't have
died."

With that thought running through her head, Estelle wound down. The
emotinal turmoil had caused her to unwind faster.
----------------------------------------------
Lida left Estelle's bedroom and allowed on her guards to wind her back
up. After being wound, she went to the library and found Prentecia
reading a book.

"Prentecia, where was my daughter?" Lida asked.

Prentecia sighed and said with a bit of disgust, "She was near the lake
again. I guess she was talking to that Undine friend of hers, Naia.
She missed her lesson in music and her lesson in routines." Shaking his
head, he conitinued, "I can't see her training becomming complete if
everytime there's lull, she runs off to spend time with that Undine."

"I see," Lida said flatly. "Could I please see the scedule of classes
you have set for my daughter?"

"Sure," Prentecia said, as he handed Lida a group of seven papers. "As
you can see, I have her sceduled for classes each day for eight hours a
day. The four hours before and after are for the regular routines of
being a princess and the remaining eight are for down time."

Lida crumpled the papers in her hand. "We will talk about this
tomorrow."

Prentecia looked at the crumpled papers in Lida's hands and nodded.

Lida dropped the papers and went to her own bedroom. In the corner
were the matching wall beds that she and her husband had used. It felt
empty without Illus. She walked to the window and looked up at the
tower where Estelle's bedroom was. A sad smile crossed her face as she
stared.

"Estelle, I should have listened to my heart and checked to see if you
were having fun."

Lida looked down at the moat around the castle and called, "Queen
Eidothia please appear."

Like at the lake, a bubbling formed on the surface of the water. Soon
another Undine had appeared, also a woman. Unlike Naia, this Undine was
wearing a robe.

"Greetings your majesty," Eidothia said. "Why have you called?"

Lida wrinkled her nose and replied, "We've been friends for too long to
use titles."

Eidothia smirked. "True, but it's so fun to watch you be irritated."

Lida sighed. "Fine. Have your fun. The reason I called you was that
my husband died today and I want my daughter to have a protector."

"My condolences on your loss," Eidothia said. "King Illus was a good
man. I'll see which one of my subjects is best for guarding Estelle."

Lida shook her head. "That won't be neccesarry. Estelle has
befriended an Undine. He name is Naia. I'd like to have her as
Estlle's protector."

Eidothia was shocked. "Naia? The outcast?"

	Lida frowned, "Outcast? Why?"

	"She was practicing air magic."

"Then I definitely want Naia as my daughter's protector. She has more
options to defend Estlle than what water alone would provide."

Eidothia nodded resignedly. "I'll re-establish her and give her her new
position."

"Before you go, I know that the water magics prevent us from rusting.
How will Estelle be effected by Naia's air magic?"

"She'll be lighter and unlike the rest of the Tingirians, she can
probably be able to work underwater."

"I have never understood that. Why can't we work underwater? Why
can't the water magics do that for us?"

Eidothia sighed. "The water seeps into your body and the weight of the
water prevents your gears from turning. All we could do is put a spell
of suspended animation on the Tingirians until the water is gone. How
many times do I have to explain it?"

"No. Why can air magic do what water can not?"

"Oh. It forms a bubble of air, keeping the water out. That bubble is
air, not water."

"Okay. I understand," Lida said. "Thanks."

Eidothia nodded and departed. Lida watched Estelle's bedroom window.
She nodded in satisfaction when a blue and white glow emenated from it.

"You have your protector and tomorrow I'll give Prentecia a lecture on
allowing you to have time to yourself."

Lida went next to her pillow and waited to wind down.

"I have never understood why Prentecia dislikes the Undines."

Lida smiled as she felt her key slowing down.

"Now that Estelle has Naia as her protector, she'll be able to spend
more time with her friend."

	Lida's key stopped.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
On the ocean floor, near the island, part of floor started lfiting
upwards. In a matter of minutes, the peak that was forming had appeared
above the surface of the water. The peak shuddered as it rose higher.
The shuddering became more and more intense. The peak exploded with a
shower of magma and rocks. Fortunately for Tingir, the new formed
volcano was too far for the firey and earthly aspects of its formation
to affect it. Unfortunatley, the new volcano created a giant tidal
wave. The wave approached Tingir growing in intesity as it went. The
small island was swamped by the sudden wave. As the wave passed over
Tingir, it swept aside the buildings and dumped the Tingirians on the
far side of the island. As the Tingirians sank, the water magics of the
Undines took hold and put all the Tingirians into suspended animation.
All save one. True to Queen Eidothia's predictions, Estelle was lighter
than the others and instead of sinking, she was swept away from her
island home and into a new life.
