Nope. This is the first time. A wise precaution.
Very good, I was sinkering the whole time.
Thanks.
Just one thing...
Why don't I show you our basement, then? Daddy dug an escape tunnel that
leads to the next street in case
someone storms our home and he can't repel the attackers.
I think Heero ought to have shut Selena up by this time. Jimmy doesn't
count
as family yet.
Actually, you're right. I thought the same thing. But it is farcical, and
about to get worse, and this was the best way I could see of mentioning the
little basement precautions Heero installed in their home, so I let it
slide. That was actually one of the first 'jokes' that I came up with when
the idea of Heero's life in the 'burbs came to me. Basically, this was the
only place I could see really mentioning it without it seeming too forced.
If a different means comes to me to use it, I will.
Also, it should be "Why don't I show you our basement then?"
I'll go one step futher and eliminate 'then'. Most seven year olds would end
it at 'basement' IMO.

I just realised this:
She stood a handful of feet behind her father. Heero pointed to
Jean-Claude.
"Did you do this to him?"
Finding some spine, Relena said defensively.<<
You confused mother and daughter. Tsk, tsk.
There's only one letter difference between the names, and I'm used to seeing
'Relena' more of than 'Selena'. I actually made it several times, and this
was the only one to slip by.
Also, I agree with lwf58 on how avoid telegraphing the gag.
Ditto. Will be taking his suggestion and moving the request for aide right
before it happens. Hopefully will sound better that way. Thanks for letting
me know too.
Sometimes he makes me do it with one hand tied behind my back in case one
of my arms ends up
immobilized.
I guess she one of the few people who can actually say, "I can do that
with
one arm tied behind me." and really mean it!
Heh. True. Hadn't considered that.
Finally, where's 2?
Why it's right here, as are your further comments. :)

There might not be much left after getting blasted by a shotgun at point
blank, if you wanted to serve rabbit on the menu.
Heero hit only the non-servable areas of the rabbit with it. He's that good
with a gun. ^_^
I kinda figured this was its fate if Heero ever caught it by the second
encounter.
Yep. When Heero fights someone, usually only one survives.
And in summation, thanks for the comments and recommendations. They were
enjoyable and helpful.
