Ladies and gentlemen of the fanfiction and fanarts community:

For too long the fanworks communities have not had a voice to stand up
for them.  We've been relegated to dealing with it at the smallest
levels, HOPING that whatever we do MIGHT correct the problem.  Usually,
it does.  Oftentimes, it does not.  Today, that changes.

Introducing FAAMP!, the Fanworks Artisans Against Media Piracy.  We are
an organization dedicated to the protection of all, from the fancreator,
to the copyright holders, to in some cases, those unfairly accused of
wrong.  Whether it is starting email campaigns against commercial sites
who've unfairly taken your work, to settling disputes over plagiarism,
to settling issues over web graphics and/or bandwidth theft, FAAMP!
stands by to help.  For further details, see our website.

We urge you to support FAAMP!, for it is your voice in times of trouble.
Visit the site, show your support by linking to us (link buttons
available on site) and join the Friends O' FAAMP!.  If you can, write an
article or give us links on what we can do to assist.  If you really
want to go the extra mile, join the FAAMP! Staff and help make a
difference in your community.  FAAMP! is only as good as its use, and
the more we have at our use, the better we can serve you, the community.

Please pass this to whomever in the fanworks community (not just anime
fanart or fanfics) whom you feel may find this information useful.  We
also ask that administrators, FAQ maintainers, and website maintainers
