He's proven his point.  I am nothing.  I am worthless.  The only thing
left for me to do is to take out the trash.  And now, as I sit on the
tanto mat with the sword but a centimeter from the flesh, his hands are
on mine, fighting to stop me while his voice insists I am mistaken.

Damn you, Ranma.  I may be nothing else, but I *am* stronger than you.
Feel that?  The blade's moving.  It's supposed to feel painful, but I
feel nothing save accomplishment and relief as it severs my flesh -
slowly, thanks to his continued struggles, but surely.  When I finally
weaken due to blood loss, I know that I am beyond anything he can do to
save my life.

Iirc, Ranma is shown to be much stronger than Akane almost from the very
beginning, when Akane tries and fails to pick up Ryouga's umbrella,
immediately after which Ranma picks the umbrella AND Akane up, then jumps a
good distance up into the air as well--and this is while he's in his girl
form, which is, presumably, weaker than his male form that is being used
here.

So I don't think this works very well... It's more a fanfic cliche that
Akane is horrendously strong than anything else.  We know Shampoo can beat
her in arm-wrestling, Ranma is demonstratably stronger than her, and Ryouga
is as well.  The occasional huge feets of strength on Akane's part don't
really mean anything with respect to how she compares to the others.  Even
Tsubasa is strong enough to knock over a telephone pole by accident and then
brush it aside easily as he's getting up, which is on about the same scale
as the stuff Akane has done at different times, and to believe that Ranma
isn't much stronger than both of her seems like quite a stretch, especially
since we have direct evidence to suggest otherwise.

Because of that, the end feels completely fake, at least to me.  The idea
that Akane could out-power Ranma when he is supposedly trying as hard as he
can to stop her just doesn't work, IMO.
