Falling to the planet Vegeta, Bardock was at peace as he faced death.
"Kakarot. My son. Thank you for helping me. You were right, it
wasn't too late. I only wish I could have held you in my arms when I
had the chance. Good-bye my son," Bardock telepathically sent to his
newborn son.
On the surface of the planet, what appeared to be a sculpture of two
warriors fighting started to glow white, feeding off the energy of
Frieza's incoming fireball. The glowing sculpture sent a beam straight
up and hit Bardock in the back and caused a warp in time and space.
Bardock heard the mental thoughts of the alien who had given him the
ability to see the future.
"No, Bardock. It is not your time to die. You must train another.
One who can show you what a true warrior must have."
"What do you mean? Who?"
"Watch and learn Bardock."
Bardock's mind was flooded with images from the past of the world he
was going to land on. He heard the words of various people, all
revolving around one person.
"At least I'll die fighting!"
"I remember now. When I came to, the trees were cut down by the
Mega-Smasher."
"That was my father's arm!"
"He regained the power to save me."
"You sacrificed your arms to protect the Mega-Smasher, but without
your arms you can't use the Mega-Smasher. I've won this round, and
you? You've lost your life."
"It can't be! It just can't be!"
"Father, I know that I have killed you and exposed Mizuki to all of
this. Watch over me father as I fight them. Fight their evil."
"SHO!!!! NO!!!!!!"
"Sho is inside that thing but still asleep. Damn, Cronos."
The scenes stopped and Bardock was left with questions about the young
boy he had seen. He wondered what those creatures were and what they
were capable of.
"He will awaken soon, Bardock. Awaken to a world that his enemies have
conquered. If this world is to avoid the same fate as Vegeta, he needs
to win. Teach him and learn from him."
Bardock's mind snapped back to reality and he saw he was falling
towards a blue-green planet. He quickly righted himself and sped down
towards a large island. He spotted an aerial battle between a large
insect like creature and a person wearing some sort of purple organic
armor. Down on the ground, a huge capsule was next to a young girl and
a man missing an arm and leg was being helped up by a somewhat
overweight boy. Two other girls were standing nearby. The armless man
pointed a finger at the insect creature and the digit changed into a
small missile and was fired off.
Bardock muttered, "What in the world? Damn, I wish I had a scouter."
The missile hit and distracted the monster and the one in armor ripped
open his chest plates and fired a massive beam of blue-white energy at
it. Much to Bardock's amazement, the humanoid insect rolled itself into
a ball and produced a force-field that repelled the attack. The insect
monster charged at the armored humanoid and impaled it on the central
spike on the top of its head. It then crackled and flashed yellow as it
electrified its body. The armor wearer was sent sprawling.
"That's enough for me," Bardock whispered under his breath and fired
off a chi bolt at the monster.
His attack hit the being and sent it plummeting to the ground. The
crater it made as it hit was quite impressive. Bardock smiled as he saw
that. The smile faded as the creature got up and stared at him,
unharmed by the attack.
Bardock asked, "What are you?"
"I am Neo Zx-Tole. The strongest of all the Hyper Zoanoids."
Bardock looked on in shock as Zx-Tole's shoulders opened, revealing
several missiles.
"Have some of my liquid missiles."
Bardock was still tired from the fight with Frieza and his men, so he
was hard put to avoid the incoming volley. One of the exploding
missiles did sent part of its contents onto his exposed arm.
*Damn! That's cold! Liquid missiles? Liquid nitrogen? What sort of
creature is this?*
His mind was distracted by a yell on the ground.
"SHOOOOO!!!"
Both he and Zx-Tole were surprised as the large capsule emitted a
booming sound. The capsule opened up and a gleaming gold figure
emerged, while the capsule faded away. It looked like a bigger, nastier
version of the purple armor that Bardock had noted earlier. Bardock
used his maximum speed to get down to the ground. He had no desire to
get in between Zx-tole and this thing.
"This world definitely has its surprises."
The somewhat overweight boy approached him.
"Why did you turn against Cronos?"
Bardock replied, "I have no idea what Cronos is."
"Aren't you a ZoaLord or Zoanoid?"
"No. I am a Saiyan. Apparently, I was blasted into your dimension by
something."
Whatever was about to be said was halted as a tremendous light was seen
in the sky. Bardock looked up and his jaw dropped as he saw a massive
blue-white beam coming from the golden behemoth. The firing of that
attack also produced a hurricane from the force of the blast.
Fortunately, the circular hurricane was far above the tallest building.
*This just keeps getting better and better,* Bardock thought. *I'm on
a world that could give Saiyans a run for their money, if not defeat
them completely.*
Bardock watched as the gold giant land before him. The armor broke
apart and was pulled back into the capsule, which had reappeared. A
smaller, blue armored figure was inside. The blue armor broke apart and
faded away, leaving a sixteen year old boy behind. Bardock watched as
the girl rushed forward and caught him, before he hit the ground.
*It's him. This is the boy I have to train.*
Looking around, he saw that the purple armored figure was staring at
him as was a few of the others. The man who was missing a leg and an
arm earlier was now standing on two feet had a lizard-like body and a
head growing in his chest. The strange man crushed the head and it was
absorbed fully into the man.
"I will see you all later. I need to regain my strength," the man
said, as he leapt away.
Bardock closed his eyes. *Now, forced mergance.*
Opening his eyes, he saw the others still watching him. Sighing, he
decided to introduce himself.
"My name is Bardock. I was from a planet called Vegeta and I am a
Saiyan. I have no idea what a Zoanoid or ZoaLord is."
"You're an alien?" one of the girls asked.
"Was from a planet?" the purple armored man asked.
"Yes and my planet was destroyed, along with all my people. Only my
sons and a couple of others might still be alive," Bardock answered
sadly, and looked down at the unconscious boy. "Look. I'll explain
later, but I think you need to get him to safety."
The armored one nodded. "Agreed. I have to head back to the States
and check up on my men."
Bardock thought, *Wasn't he impaled in the chest earlier? Where's the
hole?*
Bardock shook his head as the purple armored figure flew off. Deciding
that it would be faster, he picked up the sleeping boy and slung him
over his shoulder.
"Where to?"
The boy replied, "Follow me. We have to get him some clothes and by
the looks of it, you as well."

Chapter 02
Bardock sighed as he looked out the window of the house that he was led
to. During the hours after he arrived, he tried to answer all of the
group's questions, but held off on telling them about his ability to
read minds and see the future.
"Mr. Bardock?" the boy, Bardock now knew to be Tetshuro, asked. "Are
you all right?"
The Saiyan replied, "I'm fine. I was thinking about what I recently
went through."
"I've been meaning to ask, why did Frieza destroy your world."
Bardock let out a long breath. "He was getting scared of our race. We
were becoming stronger and stronger. I guess I should tell you. The
Saiyans worked for Freiza on taking over planets and exterminating the
sentient life forms found on the planet."
"How could you?" Tetshuro asked, blanching.
"Saiyans love to fight. Our race joined up with Frieza since he
promised that we would always have someone to fight. Now that I look
back on it, we weren't fighting. We were just killing." Bardock shook
his head and continued. "Something on the last planet I conquered for
Frieza changed my outlook. It showed me that I had become just like
Frieza: a bullying, murdering coward. Now, I want to make up for the
evil I have done."
Tetshuro recovered a bit. "I guess if we can trust Aptom to fight with
us, we can probably trust you."
Bardock gave Tetshuro the once over. "You don't look like you can
fight."
"Not all fighting is done with fists. When Sho first acquired the
Guyver, I was able to guess what he was able to do. And after our stay
at Relics Point, I'm probably the only person, besides Agito, who knows
how the Zoanoids are made that is not working for Cronos."
"Intelligence and information," Bardock chuckled. "A lot of times we
Saiyans forget that those two things are just as important in a battle
as our fighting skills."
Tetshuro looked down, "But, it wasn't enough. Cronos took over the
planet in a single day. Their armies had been gathering for years in
secrecy. When the time was right, they struck. That was a year ago."
Bardock mentally shuddered. *Exterminating a planet is easy, but to
subdue a population this big in a single day..... Even if their power
levels are low, it should have taken more time.*
"Tell me about the Zoanoids. What they can do and what they can't"
Tetshuro grimaced. "Not quite that easy. There are different types.
Muscle, Bio-blaster, Flyer, Aquatic, Scout are the basic types. The
HyperZoanoids have multiple abilities. Zerebubuth had muscle and
bio-blaster along with acid spraying and heavy armor. There's also the
Lost Units like Aptom. Anyone's guess on what they can do. And then
there's the ZoaLords themselves. Richard Guyot was able to control
gravity and use it as a weapon. His strongest attack was to create a
black hole that would devour his enemy."
"Was?"
"Guyot tried to get rid of Archanfel, the leader of Cronos, with the
black hole. Archanfel teleported outside of it and plucked the
Zoacrystal from Guyot's head and told Guyot that he should just relent.
Agito took the opportunity and shot him in the back with a pressure
canon sphere, killing him."
"I see. Now then. Since we are waiting for Sho to wake up, tell me
the story from the beginning."
Bardock listened as Tetshuro relayed the adventures Sho had. Hearing
the conversation, Mizuki added her perspective and what she saw to the
story.
After they were done, Bardock shook his head. *This is not good. I'm
on a planet of living weapons. The low ranks in most of the population
comes not from lack of training, but because they are incomplete.
Archanfel. I thought no one could outdo Frieza. I guess I was wrong.
He's worse. He has a couple of qualities that Frieza lacked. Patience
and he's not arrogant. He didn't toy with the Guyvers, he just tried to
kill them outright.*
Hearing a groan from the other room, Mizuki dashed towards the sound.
Bardock watched as the group went to greet their returned friend. As he
waited, a vision came to him.
He saw a disjointed battle in the sky. Part of the ocean spiraling
upwards to a black hole, an energy crescent cutting through a mountain
and the mountain exploding, people screaming in fear as destruction fell
from the sky. A dark version of Sho's super armor facing off against a
humanoid that had white chitin over his body, highlighted by black.
"This must not come to pass, Bardock. He must not lose faith in
himself or this terror will come about."
*How can I stop it?*
"You will understand when the time comes."
Bardock shook his head in exasperation.
"Mr. Bardock?" Tetshuro called. "Sho would like to meet you."
"Just call me Bardock," Bardock said. "I was never one for formality."
The Saiyan entered the bedroom and saw Sho looking curiously at him.
Bardock noted that Sho was far more muscular than the humans he had seen
so far.
Sho spoke first. "Tetshuro has told me about you. I'm not sure how I
should feel about meeting an alien."
"No fear?" Bardock asked.
Sho shook his head. "I once tried talking Aptom into joining up with
us, since was able to betray Cronos to try and kill me."
"Why would being able to betray an orgization make you want to trust
him?"
"Not trust. Talk and hopefully the trust would come later. A Zoanoid
is loyal to a ZoaLord. And a ZoaLord is loyal to an Advent. It's
hardwired into their brains. Zoanoids are loyal because they are
programmed that way. Aptom is no longer compelled to obey a ZoaLord,
and we need all the help we can get."
Bardock closed his eyes. *Yep. Definetly worse than Frieza.*
Opening his eyes, the Saiyan said, "I'm trying to make up for what I
have done. And since I'm a warrior, I think I can train you to use the
full potential of the Guyver."
"Full potential?" Sho asked. "I thought I was."
"I have my doubts about that. From what Tetshuro has told me, you
reaction speed hasn't really improved."
"I never said that," Tetshuro objected.
Bardock grinned. "But you are able to see him move. If the armor
multiplies his physical abilities by 100, why hasn't his reaction speed
gone up?"
Tetshuro crossed his arms over his chest. "And what makes you think
you can teach him about reaction speed?"
Bardock took a step, blurred, and appeared right in front of Tetshuro.
"I think I proved my point."
Tetshuro numbly nodded.
Impressed, Sho asked, "You are going to train me?"
Bardock nodded.
"I think you might want to postpone your training for a bit," a voice
came from behind Bardock.
Turning around, Bardock saw another teenager. Unlike the people
Bardock had gotten to know, this kid felt darker somehow.
Sho asked, "What do you mean, Agito?"
*So this is Agito Makashima out of the Guyver armor.*
"I've got information that one of the ZoaLords is here in Tokyo at the
Cloud Gate tower."
"Cloud Gate?" Sho asked.
"That's right. You've been out of it for a year. Cloud Gate is the
new Cronos Japan branch."
"I have the feeling that I should go along with you," Bardock said.
Bardock met Agito's calculating gaze and waited. Agito gave a curt
nod.
"We'll launch the attack at midnight," Agito said, as he left the room.
*Pleasent kid,* Bardock thought, as he turned to Tetshuro. "Do you
have any electronic components that I could use?"
"Sure. But why?"
"If I can build one with your tech, I'll tell you."
Tetshuro shrugged and led Bardcok out of the room Sho was in and
towards a box of computer parts and tools.
*Lower tech than I'm used to, but maybe I can build a scouter with what
I have here.*
