Agreed.

Giving Akane infinate power is fine for a spamfic, but it
could not work in a longer story.

It may or may not have been apparent in the story, but I
actually do agree with you on this.  I suspect the story
could have been a little longer than it was, but that there's
probably an upper limit of at most 150% of the length of mine.
And I've had at least one C&C-er say it should have been
significantly shorter than it was.

In the end, we prefer to hear stories about ourselves.
That's why even the Greek gods were essentially human.

I agree with this, too.  But, to my mind, the story is
about Akane, Ranma, etc, not about Q.

And Ranma does grow a bit, sort of:  given this incentive,
he learned to hold his tongue. ;)
