There is a difference between humorously summarizing fics using a
familiar format (Book-a-Minute, Movie-a-Minute) and insulting a fic
and its reader base out of the blue.
It is quite obvious that DPR is intended to be humorous. Your comments
were not so obvious. If indeed you were joking, you may wish to keep
in mind that the chief indicator of sarcasm is often vocal tone, which
does not translate well to a one-line email.
You might also wish to remember that common courtesy is not "too
serious about little things". I highly doubt that everyone who
disagreed with your comments (myself included) is a rabid otaku who
has no life outside of anime.
Just be careful what you write before you send it. Failing to do so is
one of the most common ways to start a flamewar.
