It was the same damn dream.
The young man's eyes were fixated on a fiery
bonfire, with a stake in the middle. There was a
figure that seemedto be tied up to the stake.
Another figure was standingnear the bonfire, staring
it as if there was somthing important there.
Circling the bonfire was people in colonial clothing,
leering, throwing insults, and kept on repeating
"witch" at the figure within the bonfire. But when
he saw the heavyset man among the circle of the mob,
he heard the first word which shook him to his heart.
"Witch-lover!"
He was then taken up close to view the figure
near the bonfire. He was a man, probably around his
30's, covered with a drab cloak. He looked to be
somewhat German, and was grasping his cross tightly
to his chest. He could see that the man's eyes were
full of guilt, sorrow, pain, and horror, and he was
also feeling those emotions.
When he blinked his eyes, The man's had
become his own, with tears in his eyes. Suddenly,
as if he was slowly becoming that man near the
bonfire, he was beginning to see through his eyes,
feeling the wetness of his tears.
The figure tied to the stake revealed to be
a beautiful woman, with dark, dark copper skin,
long, curly locks of hair, and wild golden eyes.
But she was burning in pain. He wondered why a
beautiful woman was subjected to this horrible
death. Then is became apparent that she was that
"witch".
Suddenly, he could swear that those eyes of that
woman were c-c-catlike...
As if a transformation had taken place, The
woman looked at him with anger and deep hatred on her
face, and morphed into... oh god! Not that! Please
anything but a feline! Her face took the image of
a leopard, it's fangs gleaming for his blood, and
those eyes, those damn eyes, staring deep into the
blackness of his soul. Fear seeped through his
emotions, and he shuddered at the sight of those
eyes. He tried to close his eyes, but couldn't.
Those eyes were still staring at him, wanting more
than his pain...
The leopard hatefully cried out, "Schattenjager!"
As soon he felt something creeping around his
neck, his vision blurred into nothing until a medallion
was in sight. It slowly went closer until he could
view the markings of the medallion. There was a
lion and a snake engraved, both locked in some form
of mortal combat. Then blood was shed on it.
He then view a tall tree, were a figure hanging
from the branches. As he viewed closer, he could see
that the figure was a man hanging from a noose, with
no signs of life in him. He was hanged dead on the
tree. He tried to view closer, but when saw bit of the
man's face, he recognized what that face was.
It was his own.
The distraught man yelled out of fright, and stood
up from his bed. He looked over his clock. 6:30 AM.
"Great, another dream again," said a female.
He looked over and saw Grace Nakamura in front of
him, revealing a mock grin. Hmmph.
"You know, Ranma, you look like hell. You need
to take a shower," said Grace with a drip of sarcasm
in her "concerned" voice.
"Whatever Grace," replied Ranma Knight.

Author's note about Ranma's background:
Ranma is now an American, and is living in New Orleans.
This sheds some light on how he came here.
Have you ever known that Jane Jensen Gothic horror thriller game Gabriel
Knight? If so, then you know all about womanizing New Orleans
Shattenjager Gabe Knight. If not, I'll explain later when I begin to
write
the fic. Basically, I'm taking the story of the first game, Sins Of The
Fathers,
and rewriting it with Ranma in it. I have to change a few parts, and it
won't
be Akane as his love interest. But he will love two women,
voodoo queen Malia Gedde, and his assistant, Grace Nakamura.
But He'll meet Akane in the second part. This is the first part.
Let me explain about Ranma's background.
Ranma Knight
Japanese American
New Orleans, Louisiana
born 1975
Ranma Knight. Last of the Shattenjagers. German for Shadowhunter.
Ranma
Knight was originally Ranma Saotome, but that all changed when his father
left him
from the pit of cats, believing him to be dead. Christrian Knight , a
business man in
Japan, finds Ranma and adopts him. Ranma grows up as a quiet and
lonely
child ever since both his parents died. He was at age 11. Then his
Grandmother
raised him. Ever since Grandmother Elaine Knight raised him 12 years,
Ranma
worships his Grandmother because she was the only family he had and she
was always
there whenever he needed her. His Grandmother was also conscious about
Ranma's
heritage and culture. She did not want Ranma to forget his heritage even
though
he was raised in a white family. She read books on Japanese culture and
learned the language, and always encourage Ranma to learn his langauge,
but to
some sucess despite Ranma's reluctance and laziness.
Although Ranma lived his life with Grandmother, he was alas with little
confidence within himself. He tries to act tough, but deep inside, he
was full of
despair. He had nightmares that were sometimes visions, visions of the
death of
his parents. He tries so hard to warn them, but nevertheless, they
died in a car accident. He blames himself for not being able to save his
parents,
so he becomes withdrawn. At the age 17, Ranma decided he must become a
man
again, so he became a teen rebel, and a womanizing chauvanist. It gained
him into trouble and the disrespect of many girls. His chauvanistic
attitude
grew as he got older. But by the age of 19, Ranma had decided to major
in the
Literary Arts. He wanted to become a writer. He became so fascinated
with Gothic
and Horror he wanted to write mysteries about it. At the age of 21,
Ranma
wrote the first Blake Heero novel, a supernatural investigator that was
uncovering
a mystery of a Witch Cycle. It gained many readers and start a cult
interest. It
was the beginning of Ranma's life as a cult novelist.
Ranma used the profits he gained to open a book shop. Unknowingly, he
named his establishment, St. George's Books. RARE books. He hired Grace
Nakamura to take care of the bookstore because he thought he deemed her
able to
performing her duties, in reality, he was staring at her legs...
But as soon as he churned out another sequel, Ghosts and Goblins, a
number of
readers decreased, commenting that the book wasn't just... good enough.
At the age of 23, Ranma discovered the Voodoo Murders that were taking
place in his city of New Orleans. He decided to use it in his new book,
with
the help of his childhood friend, Paul Mosley, who's a detective on the
Voodoo
Murders case.
So that's it. I'm gonna use this background for char bios. I hope you
enjoy that short read. I thought about it a long time. Some of the
names might be
changed, because I don't remember all of the character's names. It's a
long time since
I've played the game.
