"Nurse I-I can't control him anymore, I need more
people!" Doctor Chikanatsu shouted down the echoing
halls of Tokoyo mental hospital.

"Unnatural! Unnatural! I shall destroy thee!" The
tall, brown haired, young man shouted, dressed in the
dull white uniform of a mental patient. Swing an
invisible weapon around wildly. "Were doth all this
darkness, this venom come from?!"

"Mr. Kuno, please-- there is nothing here--Mr.
Kuno...." Doctor Chikanatsu spat out terrified.

"Betrayer!" Kuno shouted and took one wild swing. "The
fiend! Our loyal servant dead on the ground and you--"
  Just then four huge orderlies burst into the room
and grabbed Kuno restraining him. "Don't think this
will stop me! Don't thin-" One of the orderlies jammed
a syringe into Kuno's body went limp.
Doctor Chikanatsu sighed. "If only we could make some
progress. With out things like this happening."

He looked into this young patients eyes... glazed over
the drug had taken effect. Tatewaki Kuno, looking over
the young man's medical history Doctor Chikanatsu
thought, that he should have been put in treatment a
long time ago. But he had commited eleven months ago,
when things had gotten really bad. People always
waited for the last minute for these things when
treatment was near impossible. These delusions seemed
different then what had been previously described.
Something had happened to Tatewaki Kuno, something
that had changed him unexplainably forever, if only
Doctor Chikanatsu knew what it was.

   It was a few days after the news of Ryoga's death.
Kasumi for her part did not want to think about it.
Nabiki disappearing, Kuno going mad, and now Ryoga
killing himself. She couldn't blame Akane for reaction
after finding out that her beloved P-chan was really
the bandanna wearing boy, it was understandable if
only... she had been.. there and been able to soothe
her sister's temper. However that day, she had been
away visiting Dr. Tofu, the man had stopped acting so
strange around her and they could start relationship.
If it wasn't for her selfishness, all of this would
have never happened, Ryoga would still be alive. If
only she had been there.. if only. No it was better
not to think of such things. She still lived in the
Dojo, still took care of her family and her
brother-in-law's family. Auntie Nodoka, usually took
care of cooking and that was a great help. Kasumi
however did the shopping she knew all the best places
to buy ingredients. She really didn't have as much to
do these days, her life had become rather boring. She
wanted to do something, have a little adventure
perhaps, nothing to dangerous.
Then she saw, old Ms. Narato's place. Down the
street, poor old woman had no family really, and
after she died no one took came of doing anything
about the house. It had sat abandoned for two years,
despite the real-estate company best efforts to sell
it.
   Kasumi went over to the gate, she touched it
cautiously, it gave a creak, and opened slightly. It
wasn't locked. Kasumi cast a suspicious glance around
her. No one else was on the street, she thankfully
alone.
Kasumi walked inside, she saw a rather small but neat
looking house, with the shudders drawn. Nothing really
special. The yard was a mess, the grass growing high
about knee length and there was strange scent in the
air like old fish. Kasumi wanted to get closer to the
house. Maybe one of the shutters would be open a
crack. As she walked across the yard, she couldn't
help but notice that the grass had been trampled down,
in an path. She decided to follow it around the house
to the back. In the back, there was garden, the
stone walkway was overgrown. The rotten like smell got
stronger. Kasumi walked around towards the back. She
noticed a plain little shed tucked away in the back.
She went towards, and the horrid smell thick in the
air making her gag. She moved the door slightly and
a brownish viscous liquid trickled onto her foot. She
drew back, shocked, it smelled something was wrong
here. The door of the shed gave a long moan and
opened, slowly.
   Kasumi closed her eyes tightly and a wave of the
noxious odor hit her. She could hear the sound of
flies buzzing softly. A faint metallic scent also
drifted into the air. She didn't want to move, she
didn't want to open her eyes. But she had to. She
opened her eyes.
   The sight that met her eyes was horrifying sight.
There in the shed, were the rotting carcass of small
animals, stacked in neat piles about waist high. Some
were decomposed beyond recognition. So many of them,
all in such neat piles. Kasumi went pale. She dropped
the groceries she was carrying.

"Oooooooooh my." She said and her voice was quivering.

   She felt nauseous suddenly and so stunned who would
do something like this? She ran out of yard and went
back to her house. Block it, out of her mind that
horrible sight. The horrible smell. Block it out.
Don't think about it. think about making dinner.
   She walked through the door. Tried to smile, a
forced little smile. couldn't help it, the horror of
all those empty sockets staring out at her. She could
see it the back off her head. She walked across the
room, then sank to knee and began sobbing.
She felt a hand on her shoulder and looked up. "Hey,
Kasumi you okay?" It was Ranma. Kasumi, tearfully
confessed what she seen. And it was reported to the
authorities. Every on the streets watched as the
workers covered head to toe. In decontamination suits,
lifted out mounds of decomposing flesh into black
plastic bags. Who could have done this inhuman thing?
Nobody could answer that question.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
   It was night time the rain was coming down hard. A
woman darted around attempting not to get something
she was clutching to her chest wet. The truth had to
be told. It couldn't be hidden, she knew, she
knew...... and if something didn't happen the death
would continue. Her son, the baby she cradled fifteen
no, eighteen years ago... was that thing that monster?
Every family had skeletons in their closets...but
those were just harmless compared to this centuries of
blood and destruction... she had thought uncle Kaori
was the last.    She ran to the door, yes Ranma
Saotome, he was a fine upstanding young man, never
knew what her son had against him. He'd understand,
he'd help. She knocked on the door. They were
approaching.. no time to explain... she dropped what
she had been clutching a tattered notebook. On the
doorstep and ran, back into the rain, into the night.
   Akane opened the door no one was there. She
shrugged, who could have been calling at this time of
night. She picked up the notebook. On the cover was
scribbled a small note in a delicate hand
   'Evil deeds, have been exposed to the light. This
book may help you. I can't explain anything else at
the moment, My hope is that is that this  book will
lead you to the  truth.'
   Akane took the notebook inside.The first couple
pages had been ripped out.  She opened the notebook
and began to read:
   'Dear journal,
   Something very odd happened today. I woke up and I
felt different, a odd feeling of something unfolding
inside me. Some change. Which I couldn't put my finger
on. After school, I was running away form the usual
bunch and I hid in the shed of that abandoned house. I
was just in time. They followed me, into the yard. But
never saw me go in the shed. I sat there my heart
pounding, my breath shallow. I did not move.  However,
I wasn't alone, a rat had also made its home in the
shed. As it scurried across the floor I was worried it
would give me away. I looked at it, I was staring
right into its small glistening eyes. I could hear its
heart-beat ten times fast then any human being, no I
wasn't hearing it, I was feeling it And I felt, fear
that wasn't mine.  I could feel the energy in its
body, the electrical impulses between its neurons, its
adrenaline its life and all the fear. It was a potent
experience, like some kind of drug, all that fear all
that life, all that enegry.Just a simple creature with
all that untapped power inside. I could feel its heart
beat growing weaker, the rat was laying on its side,
breathing faintly. It was dying. That left me
wondering had I done this? Had I left it one the brink
of death? Taken its energy? I don't know, I felt
better, when I could feel its energy and fear. And I
needed more, the rat was on its dying breath,  I knew
its terror at its aimless, pathetic life ending, to
weak to cry out. Death was coming, I could feel all
that fear, that last surge, inside me and it was dead.
I got freaked out after that.  I screamed. I gave away
my position and they found me, they beat me up as
usual. I still don't know if I killed the animal, what
I do know is the feeling, I had the pure power and
exhilaration of it! But I never wanted to hurt, it.
But the feeling. Maybe I didn't. It probably just ate
rat poison or was old any ways. Still I wonder.
   Sincerely,'
   The name was crossed off. Akane closed the book and
shudder.  Who was this person?
