Hello I'd like opinons on some ideas I have for Ranma
fics.

The first Idea I have is an alternate reality. In
which Ranma is a schizophrenic locked up in a mental
inistuion and everythign that happened in the cannon
Ranma 1/2 are jsut his delluisons.

For the most part, this one's been done before as a MKR fic called Caught Between

Worlds.

This has also been done as a Ranma fic, but I'm not at home so I can't check
my archives for the name and author, and I can't seem to find it on the web.
 The story is framed around Doctor Tofu -- a psychiatric professional treating
Ranma -- explaining to Nodoka the nature of her son's delusions, and what each
of the canon figures "actually" represents therein.  (This takes place shortly
after Ranma gets loose and attempts to leap the three stories from his room
at the hospital to the ground, and ends of shattering his legs.)  Hints are
made as the possible cause of Ranma's derangement, with some of the blame settling
on the shoulders of salaryman Genma and the emotional freeze and distance that
he has set up between himself and his son; hints are also made of some accident
or loss Ranma (and his family) suffered years before.  The story ends with Genma
in the family shrine, crying over the photo of his lost daughter, Ukyou.

Sadly, while my semi-eidetic memory allows me to remember this story almost
in its entirety, I don't recall the author or the title.  If someone can ID
this for the original poster, I'd be grateful.
