Really? That's not what I've heard. Of course, I've never known anyone
whose gone to Japan. I'm drawing some of that from Nabiki - New Horizons,

FYI...'cause I know she needs to go to this school for
the story...BUT. Foreigners who are ex-pats. paid by
their company to be in Japan, or foreigners who make a
good living in Japan would send their kids to the
American School in Japan. Quite expensive I hear.
Going to ANY Japanese high school...a waste if you are
a foreign citizen and thus eligible to be enrolled in
an "international school" (like the previously
mentioned American School).

I knew two brothers who had been sent to a regular japanese school
while the family was living in Japan so that they would learn Japanese
language and culture. Made both of them hot commodities among the
consulting firms when each got an MBA.
