As the FAQ states quite clearly, requests for fanfics should be posted
to the list only as a last resort, when you've made a good faith effort
to locate the fic through other means. Did the original poster make such
an effort? Obviously not, or he would have easily found the fic without
having to spam his request out to two thousand subscribers, as I did
through a simple web search on google.

Furthermore, the FAQ also specifies that any replies to a fic request
are to be sent privately. And while I don't know whether it's in the
FAQ, and while giving out a web address is fine, simple common courtesy
ought to have told fox1@colla.com not to repost (well, attempt to
repost) an author's fic without first contacting that author for
permission.

The three of you should consider yourselves on probation. Any
inappropriate postings from you in the near future will earn you a
tempban.
