[Ranma][Spamfic] Waiting

   There was a new park in the middle of Nerima.  Scientists, martial
artists, holy men and magicians had all come, tried, and failed.  In the
end all that was left was to wait.

  Each figure had a plaque, some small bearing little more than the name,
some large with much text in small, neat writing.  The central figure
had his hand held high as if holding something, a kendoist of some renown.
His was the mistake that had brought all to this state.  'Tatewaki Kuno,
in love with the pigtailed girl, hating Ranma Saotome, unable to realise
they are same person.'  There was more, of course, but it is unfair to
invade his privacy further for, after all, his was an honest mistake.

  All in all there were well over a dozen, everyone directly relating to
the situation and several others involved indirectly.  The wishbringer was
long gone - slipped out of Kuno's frozen grasp as soon as he made the
final, possibly fatal, wish.  "I wish away all the pigtailed girl's
problems," he had said.  Something the gods themselves have not the
ability to do - much less a magical toy like that sword.  It tried it's
best, the power remaining from a million hopes and dreams expended in one
burst.  First Ranma, then Akane, Ukyo, Shampoo, ... one after another from
the most important and working down frozen in time - but possibly not
forever.  It was fortunate that it's limits were reached before the chain
of inter-relations could entangle the whole of Nerima, Japan or more in
one frozen diorama.

  At the entrance to the park papers lay discarded, each had been
presented to the lingering magic and each stamped 'REJECTED'.  Possible
solutions disguarded as 'too vague', 'out of character', or 'just plain
sick'.  The figures inside waited, without knowing they waited, for the
perfect Ranma solution fic.
