Prologue: Part 03 - "Kasumi's Story"

	After Ranma and Akane had gotten married, Kasumi and Dr. Tofu began dating.  Within
two months, the two had gotten engaged and three months later, Kasumi and Dr. Tofu were
married.  Kasumi had also decided to go to college with the hopes of going to medical school.
Dr. Tofu initially had no problems with this because Kasumi's classes were in the day time
which meant that she would be back in the afternoon and the two could enjoy "quality time"
together.  However, their life of bliss was not meant to be...

	In celebration of their first anniversary, Kasumi and Dr. Tofu went to a nice,
expensive restaurant to relax and celebrate.  At the beginning of the meal, everything was
fine, the two had some light wine to go with their meal and Kasumi did not think anything
of the evening other than how wonderful everything had turned out.

	What she did not know is that Dr. Tofu was genetically predisposed to alcoholism and
what made it worse was that he began to develop a liking towards alcohol.

	A few months later, Dr. Tofu was offered a high paying position at Nermia General
Hospital, which he accepted much to the delight of Kasumi.  Of course, this also meant that
Dr. Tofu would need to reduce the time spent at his private practice.  His patients were
not worried since they all knew that Kasumi was going to take over the private practice when
she finished her schooling and residency (and at the rate she was going, it would not be
too long).

	The new job turned out to be extremely demanding and stressful.  As a way to cope,
Dr. Tofu went with his collegues to night clubs and karaoke bars to relax and drink.  And
of course, Dr. Tofu would stumble home drunk and pass out on the living room sofa and suffer
the inevitable hangover the next day.  

	Pressure mounted on Kasumi and Dr. Tofu when Dr. Tofu's mother and Kasumi's father
began pushing them for grandchildren.  They tried their best to get them to back off to no
avail.  This resulted in Dr. Tofu's drinking to the point of alcoholism and being a violent
drunk.  Which translated to Kasumi being a battered wife.

	Kasumi tried her best to cope with her situation and tried to get Dr. Tofu to quit
drinking to no avail.  Finally, it was Nabiki who convinced Kasumi to get help and to have
Dr. Tofu arrested for spousal abuse.

	Dr. Tofu was arrested for abuse and he and Kasumi went through one of the most
scandalous criminal and divorce trials in the history of Nermia.  During the two trials
it came to light that Dr. Tofu had been sleeping around on Kasumi and in addition to his
drinking, he had been taking some narcotics he stole from Nermia General Hospital.

	The trial ended with Dr. Tofu being thrown in prison for 8 years and Kasumi being
granted her divorce from him.  After the trial, Kasumi took some time off and afterwards
went back to school where she was reunited with a certain busty redhead young woman...
