No they are not aware of the animes and mangas and
fanfiction in our world, at least not until they are here
for a while. Ranma or Ryoga might find out about the Animes,
maybe even the Manga, if they find a store selling them.
Nene would find out about both and the fanfiction on line.
Etc. Etc. Etc. ...

Aw, hell, and here I was planning to write such a fic, and now you

No, actually it was the Lost Lurker leading a number of writers (including
Rob Barba, Libby Thomas, Zen, Jorge Pratt and myself) in "Pencils," which
ran between October '98 and late '99.  There was a lot written, but I dunno
how much actually got posted to the FFML or r.a.a.c... or how much any of us
can dig up from our individual records.
