Very nice. I've read the whole series to date, and
have thus far enjoyed it.
Cool. Glad you liked it. Now if only I can find the time and the muse
motivates me to continue on it for a while.
One quible though: You keep describing Kasumi as
being 'less than a centimeter' in height, yet most of
the actual comparisons with other objects around her
suggest that she is at least five times larger, or around
an inch high to six inches high.
Hmm. You're probably right about that. I confess to not giving the size
dimensions to her perspective a lot of thought. I myself and am short, but
not that short, so it's not that easy to reference things. Will try to make
things a bit more consistant.
Granted, this could be due to some subconscious size
changing, as the source character, Janet Van Dyne,
*could* adjust her height like that and could even
reduce herself to just under a centimeter or grow to
nearly her original size while retaining her wings (oddly
they still disappear no matter what if she's at full size)
Actually if I recall correctly around Baron Zemo II's Masters of Evil V
storyline in the 270s, Jan was adjusted so she could retain her wings at
full height, but the ability was quickly forgotten when another writer took
over the chores. No plans to do that to Kasumi though, so I suppose it's a
moot point.
If its any help at all, Unstable Molecules and Unstable
Molecular Fabric were both independantly discovered
and utilized by two different people in Marvel Comics:
Reed Richards (Mr. Fantastic)
Flatman (of the Great Lakes Avengers)
Forgot the latter. I'll let you know odds are I'm going with Hank contacted
Reed upon hearing of the development of UM and actually got a uniform made
out of them (since Hank knew he would be changing sizes soon) It was shipped
with the stuff, but Tofu didn't worry about it since the machine hadn't been
reassembled yet. So his costume problems will be easy to handle. Kasumi on
the other hand...
Flatman won't give out his formula, as he believes that
the process that enabled him to discover them is
what gave him his power, and he's actually a bit more
socially responsible than Reed Richards and doesn't
go around handing out costumes made from a material
whose effects on health hasn't been fully tested.
Heh. Luckily, Reed is flawless when he needs to be.
If Kasumi can get a hang on her size changing ability,
Japanese toy stores are a ready supply of doll clothes of
nearly any size imaginable. Or she can raid the scrap bins
of dress shops and tailors for finer material that has been
discarded due to being otherwise too small to be of use...
True. Making Wasp sized costumes aren't going to be the problem. It's having
to stay small when she's wearing them that might cause her to have to think
about things.
I don't know what to say about Dr. Tofu - there's no getting
around the fact that he's going to be spending a lot on clothes
if he wants to be a super hero.
Like I said, that'll be taken care of. Wanted only one person to have the
size-chainging costume problem. Thanks for pointing that out though. I just
know there are points I've probably not thought about, so please keep
bringing them up.
Thanks a lot for the comments.
