That was worse than Ami's version. It defies the original
concept, changing back by will rather than force but still a
horrifying story. I do believe death would be preferable to
that. Vastly preferable.
I'm not sure that it does defy the original concept, actually. Mamoru
could have changed back by will; he just didn't want to. (Why would he?)
The canon never addresses what happens if you simply
_don't_ detransform.
I had to give him a time limit or he'd simply stay as Tuxedo Mask forever,
and the story becomes rather dull. :)
Also, of course, I wanted to look at a Mamoru who was addicted to being
Tuxedo Mask, just as much as he was addicted to the booze. Hit him in
both directions, as it were...
Shucks I think I would prefer to be Makoto of all the
choices presented so far.
The others range from insanity to being a moron, a purely
physical change would be better.
Still I wonder, what would happen if he knew about Endymion
as a possible change as opposed to a temporary TM.
Yeah; my version pretty much requires a comparatively short timespan (a
few months at most). Otherwise the Moon Healing Escalation, or whatever,
could just cure him of the alcoholism.
Ah well. You know how it is, when a really nasty little possibility occurs
to you and won't let go ... :)
Cheers,
