I don't think Michiru will have a problem with a male Uranus.  I 'think' it is canon that Michiru is bi.

The question is, will the Curse prevent Uranus from being a Sailor Senshi when it is active?

Even if it does, Uranus can still be a Knight Senshi.  Apparently she has that power, but almost never uses it.
