Damn, that was quick. Makes me feel warm and fuzzy all over. :)
Well, _I'd_ freeze dead on the spot... Yeesh. Ramoth's what, the size of a
727?
See, that depends. If you trust Dragonriders of Pern (the videogame)
screenshots, they average about the size of a mid-sized mining dump-truck.
If you trust the book covers, they average about the size of a semi+1
trailer. I couldn't really get what McCaffrey thought intended.
A gasp filled the cavern that was the hatching grounds as people saw the
freshly hatched dragonet. The creature cried out piteously, and bowled
the
pair of girls aside - the crack and angle of one of the girls' legs
indicating a bad break - and began to crawl around the grounds, looking
frantically for a person to Impress.
*blink* I don't remember hatchlings as being that strong... Most of the
damage was, IIRC, from their claws.
Re-read Dragonflight. Impressing dragonets are about the size of
velociraptors, and can do some nasty things.
Krith. Ah.
Well, it fits. Chris minus -s plus -th.
Well, if you notice, all the dragons had "-th" names.
The next thing that occurred was almost more shocking than what came
before.
*Sheesh,* the dragonet grumbled mentally - so everyone could 'hear' - and
turned his head to glare at the watchers, his eyes whiring blue and red.
*Haven't you people seen a silver dragon before?*
*SHATTER*
*chortle* We try.
Now if I can only finish ARST part 3....
