My subject should be short, tiny story that can fit in the palm of your hand...
Anyway, for the one reader who reads my junk, here is another piece to frighten your cat with.

Cold Rain
By Troy Thomas
Ranma 1/2 and its characters are the creations and properties
of Rumiko Takahashi. Excepting flames, if you have any
comments or criticisms to make, feel free to send them my
way.
***
Had the rain a beginning?
Two travellers, a piglet and duck couldn't remember.
For the two animals, the rain was fitting. It was what they
knew, what they were: cold and constant.
A third traveller, a panda, trailed slowly behind carrying in
its massive arms two small bundles, which were gruesomely
human underneath.
The panda saw nothing: the emptiness of its eyes darkened
everything. The panda felt nothing: the emptiness of its
heart permeated all the body, making it colder than the rain,
which soaked the animal to the bone,
Behind the panda, limped a small cat, which unlike the
creatures it followed, seemed to feel the rain. However, the
rain, though cold, had no persuasion over the body of the
cat, which was stooped low to the ground, under a weight
heavy as the world.
Perhaps for the two leaders, the rain was the world's tears,
fitting for the children lost.
For the burdened, the rain mattered not. It was only a cold
curtain, closing the play, which sadly had no second showing.
And the last, twas only its reward, for service served too
well.

Author's Notes:
Does anyone like this?
It was an idea, which was jumping up and down in my mind,
wanting to be written.
Anyway, I had a few questions heading into this writing: how
could this have transpired, which ends the story differently
from the manga? What is the inspiration? Where can the story
lead?
The first I won't answer.
The second is a reference to the manga: "I'm going ahead now,
Ranma. I'll wait for you."
The third I won't answer.
Perhaps I'm mean, not writing more (not that I assume anyone
likes what I've written), but I think it's fitting as a short
piece.
Anyway, thanks for reading.
