I agree, you can't have a rosy ending...or a really dorky bad ending using
this particulair style of story telling....
As a matter of fact I can't see ANY way of ending this other than the way
you did.
 That being said you might think that I was saying that this was formulaic
in some way...well I'm not.
 We've also seen correspondence relationships in "Shop around the corner"
as well as it's remake "You have mail" but the things that make the
difference is
 1. The characters. The way that the author (you :) ) treats them.
Kuno and Nabiki were portrayed in ways that they might very well deal
with "secret" relationships. The differences in writing of POV were also
quite good.

2. Here we only see the letters. The outside enviroment is entirely in the
readers head based on what we know of Ranma. This is a good thing because
it also free's you from writing the "standard" Ranma fic. It allows you
have events "off stage" be quite supportive of the text.

3. I like it :)

 In reading any other C&C of your work I remember someone complaining that
the internet wouldn't be that common in Nermia District....this just stuck
me as REALLY nit-picky.

 I think my only critical views on this fic might have been the early
sudden-ness of the revilation.. but again, seeing it from this story and
these electronic records the position of the characters is assumed to be
already something that has been built from dozens of e-mails, shared
confidences and so on. Looking back I would have ot agree with this
now...although one or two earlier letters might be interesing to see how
 Nabiki shared a few of her first confidences. A-la the Marmalade boy
movie :)
 - Well that and the fact that my UNIX PINE mailreader hates some of your
formatting.
