"Yes?"

"We're having a little problem getting the Eva up to full power.  Low sync.  
Do you know? How to meditate?"

"Sure. Mom taught me before she went insane..."

"Good.  Try meditating. It should help the Eva work."

"Okay."  Shinji said with a shrug.  Calmly, he concentrated and closed his 
eyes. ~Peace full thoughts, peace full thoughts...  *flash* her hand running 
all over him pawing at his shirt. The *flash* WHAT WAS THAT.  Keep your mind 
clear.  Keep. ~ "*Yawn*" Shinji yawns and slips into unconsciousness...

"Why did he fall asleep? Why did Ritsuko ask him to meditate?"

Murphy looked at Thor. "Want to answer the question or should I?"

"Part of the passive control system, and to distract him."

"Oh."

"The pilot is unconscious.   The system in active and in control" Ritsuko 
says, looking up and Gendo. "And were you really going to send my daughter 
in to battle if your kid had refused." she said, giving him the evil eye.

"NO!  I knew the boy would cave. And she is not your daughter.  She is just 
a partial clone..." Gendo sweat drops and turns to Misato. "Launch the EVA."

"This is getting boring."

"Hey! Why don't we try piggybacking with some of these characters?"

Murphy looks up. "Piggybacking?"

"Yhea, you slip into some ones mind and read their surface thoughts and see 
what they see.  Kind of fun, really.   Of course, some entities don't like 
to be piggybacked onto."

"Hmm. Lets try it with the EVA-01.   Its mind is simple enough..."

Meat. Prey.  Close by. Must find. Must hunt.  Look.  Structures tall.   
Metal forests... don't like.

"uurrrhhgg..  Remind me not to do that again?" Thor said, looking across the 
pool.

"Hmm.  I will.  But the adverse effects were probably due to it's primitive. 
Too primitive, mind." Murphy looks back at the pool. "Let us continue?"

"Sure. Just no more piggybacking..."

"Okay, okay..."

Sinji stared up at the tiles.    He silently wondered what he was doing in 
the room.

The door to the room opened. And Misato walked it. "Good.  You're awake.  
How do you feel?"

"Fine.  But a little confused. How did I get here?"

"You fell asleep in the EVA.    The Eva fought the Angel, and then we put 
you in here till you woke up."

"Oh."

"Now, since you have woken up, let's get going.   Your sisters should be 
getting home soon."

Shinji Brightened. "Really?  Their here to?"

"Yep."  Misato blinked. Then turned around. Looking at Sinji. Wondering how 
he got behind her.

"What are you waiting for? Lets go!!"  Shinji said, dragging on Misatos arm.
