Almost missed this in the great deluge of mail I got from post-vacation:

I love the The Worthless Piece of Shit. I simply love it.

It was fun finding a short to write them in again. Since the responses to
this were surprisingly good, I got to thinking more about them. Now there is
an outside chance once I'm finished with PotW, one of the early things I
might do is an extended story of them in a ST: Wrath of Kahn type parody.
D'Amour could fit well in the Kirk role, and having him fight his overly
dramatic foe, Ricardo Montekahn, might be good for a few laughs. But I have
a lot of ideas percolating in my head, and it's hard to tell which I'll
start off with. We'll see.

You hit your stride on the humor pretty quickly, and it was good.

Thanks. This was pretty much just a humor piece, and not meant to have any
deep meaning.

In the second read through I found the opening on Kin and her
impressions of D'Amour fairly interesting, fit well with the end.

She's a bit bland compared to the others, but there's something to be said
with a semi 'normal' character being included in a cast of weirdos (ie:
Scott Evil from Austin Powers)

As always I found watching the utter rediculousness of their
actions play out into something which actually resembled sanity
oddly amusing. I wouldn't say they're really not that weird
because they sure as hell are, but some of the very peculiar
methods in their madness make such sense from the right point of
view.

True. There's a method to their madness, as hard as that is to believe.

And finally, its nice read a bunch of drunken lunatics put down a
stand.

Yeah. Probably one of the reasons I enjoy writing D'Amour, he's a drunken,
hedonistic lech, with little in the way of a redeeming bone in  his body. No
real pretenses there. Hence why many people feel he is in fact an SI. :)
