I submitted this to the PMFFML, I believe the first week it was
operational, so it may be familiar to some of you. I thought I'd
resubmit it to the FFML since I've made a few changes and added the
actual flashback sections from the revenge fic.
I also included a suggestion from tangent.
This Idea is open to any takers I don't plan on writing any more and
most of what you see has floated around on my personal computer since roughly 1997.
I would really like to see someone use the idea of the jusenkyo water
splashing wild at the failed wedding.

I've seen lots of alterverse stories where something is changed
in the ranmaverse, but I don't believe I've ever seen a story
that used the "man water" that was bounced around at the wedding.
which is surprising to me, what if the barrel had broken and
splashed the wrong people such as nodoka, kodochi, ukoyo or the
Tendo sisters.
This always bothered me, it seemed out of place for such a benign
event as happosi drinking it to happen, it just didn't feel like
the ranma universe.
Here is a snippet of my take if such a change had taken place.

In the shocked silence nibiki stared at her er no his sis-brothers
and tried to ignore the changes in her now his body by replaying
in his mind just where it had all gone so wrong.
First there had been the exploding food that had ended with ranma
out cold on the floor. Then THEN father had said something about
a cure and having it as a wedding present which had led to genma
and Royoga? fighting over a small wine barrel, which happosi had
taken and lost to a umbrella swing that sent both crashing into
the wall over their 3 heads.
Nibiki quickly squeezed his eyes shut as he relived the
indescribable feeling of changing for the first time and the pain
as his clothing ripped and partially constricted the new form.
After a eternity of reliving the change nibiki staggered and
opened his eyes when an almost familiar voice said"OH OH MY!
akane has HULKED OUT and we are all MEN. Glancing at the frozen
shocked faces of the crowed and then back at his brothers nibiki
almost giggled when she found that she had to agree with kasumi.
Akane did look like that body builder that had played the hulk,
the top of her wedding dress had shredded and hung in tatters
around his waist, his chest and arms were muscled like a world
class weightlifter and after glancing down nibiki noticed the
slipper soles were still laying on the spot where akane had stood
until kasumi's words had driven him a step back into the wall.
A low growl snapped nibiki's eyes back to his brothers face and
for the first time in his life nibiki knew terror as he watched
akane raise an arm and point at him and say in an anger constricted
voice"THIS IS YOUR FAULT AND YOU WILL PAY!" nibiki took an
involuntary step back and was just starting to stutter an excuse
when a voice yelled"DIE RANMA BECAUSE OF YOU AKANE IS CURSED LIKE
US!" nibiki had just enough time to shut his eyes and then cringe
as akane charged him after a few second of cringing with his eyes
shut waiting for the pain nibiki opened his eyes and turned
searching for his sis-brother.

Royoga watched in frozen horror and shock as the realization came
first to kasumi's face and then at her words to akanes.
As akane raised his arm and pointed over ranma at nibiki, royoga
was chanting over and over in his mind that it wasn't his fault,
it couldn't be his fault it had to be ranma's fault!, when akanes
words accused another royoga felt joy and vindication it was
ranma's fault and he would die.
Royoga then shouted a phrase that would torture him for the rest
of his crippled life"DIE RANMA BECAUSE OF YOU AKANE IS CURSED
LIKE US!"

Royoga struggled wildly as he tried to break the grip that was
choking him one moment he had been swinging a death blow at ranma
and the next, the hand holding the umbrella was being crushed
and another hand had him by the throat slowly cutting off his air
supply looking into the glowing eyes of akane as his feet dangled
12 centimeters above the floor.
Royoga shuddered and struggled harder when akane said"what did you
mean by CURSED LIKE US!" after a moments hesitation Royoga
shrugged his shoulders as best he could and when the pressure
around his throat lessened slightly he croaked out n-nnn-nn-NOTHING,
for an instant royoga's fear lessened when akanes aura dimmed and
his feet found purchase, but this quickly turned to confusion when
a strange glint appeared in his captors eyes and akane half
carried, half dragged him by the throat toward the silent crowd
behind him. In a few moments royoga felt a cold sensation as his
body was forced against a table and a punch bowl tipped over and
triggered his curse.
Royoga had only an instant of consciousness as a piglet before the
pain of snapping bones put him out.
Nibiki watched as akane dropped the crumpled piglet turning back
toward her and taking a single long step over the now female
ranma towards where nibiki was cowering behind kasumi halfway
through the step akanes eyes rolled up into his head and he
collapsed beside ranma.
Nibiki's last clear thought in the rapidly darkening dojo was how cute
ranma and akane looked together.
Genma watched as akane's and nibiki's collapse seem to partially break
Kasumi's dazed state and after a moment of staring at the broken piglet
laying in the pile of punch soaked clothing kasumi made his way to the
formal tea set. She/he had insisted on it's presence even with a western
style wedding, and it had somehow survived the fights and the explosions.
Genma watched as kasumi took the hot tea and slowly poured it on the
piglet, grimacing with everyone else as the piglet slowly transformed
back into royoga accompanied by the sound of broken bones grinding and
popping.
Kasumi stared at the crumpled and bleeding form of royoga, after several
long seconds he turned his gaze to the unconscious form of ranma and
softly asked"You knew? why did you only hint?......... what did royoga
hold over you?"
Genma unthinkingly answered"Ranma accidently cursed royoga at jusenkyo
then promised him not to reveal his weakness before he came here."
Genma flinched slightly when kasumi's head jerked up and he gritted his
teeth as he said"you KNEW!, what did you PROMISE!"

Royoga survives, but is crippled and unable to fight will he
blame this on ranma and use other methods to seek revenge or will
he go after the "new man" that has become a bane to his
existence?
How will kasumi and nibiki react to what has happened to them and
akane?
In my version from which this snippet comes the water wasn't
from the spring of drowned man, it was from the spring of drowned
very strong man.
Both kasumi and nibiki are very large, very strong men, but akanes
penchant for working out has really shown up.
Will akane forgive and forget that nibiki bears a large amount
of the responsibility for the invitations she now he sent out?
WIll this have repercussions for shampoo, is cursing a woman to be a man
a crime for amazons.?
How will ranma react to akanes curse and his enhanced strength?

I've had this idea for a while, specifically back near the end
of the very first revenge fics and used it as a reason for
nibiki to revenge me, but no part of it ever made it to submitted text
until the FFML shut down, the revenge fic that refers to this idea
never made it off my computer.
The part that had nibiki out for my blood was when 5 weeks after the failed wedding above Dr. Tofu returns and...........

Nibiki carefully focused the camera on her father and sisters faces as
Dr. Tofu laboriously worked his way through seeking permission from soun
to propose marriage to his oldest daughter. Nibiki would never forget how
kasumi nervously shifted her weight from foot to foot fighting to keep a proper face for such a occasion. She succeeded until Dr. tofu addressed her
and a smile stole its way onto her face just as the wail of a passing
firetruck and fine mist of water from a trailing hose interrupted the
ceremony. Nibiki couldn't see Tofu's face, but the way his back stiffened and his body froze for almost 30 seconds as he stared at kasumi's now over 6 foot male form straining the seams of her female forms formal kimono only to finally slump his shoulders and hang his head with single voiced word and kasumi's unvoiced nod of affirmation. Nibiki watched in shocked horror as Dr. tofu quickly turned and left the park.
