    Eight months had passed since that fateful day.  Many changes had
occured on the surface of the planet.  The city had been rebuilt onto
Narnian soil.  After much discussion with the Bandit Clan, it was decided to
build it near the ruins of Cair Parival.  It was hard work clearing the
thick forests to make room for houses and fieldsfor crops, but it was worth
it.  Narnia provided them with new fruits and vegetables to eat, but hardly
any meat was available except for what was synthesized from the Suzaku's
repository.  On the outskirts of the city Daniel secretly worked on the
designs for robotic beasts implanted into his brain.  He had completed two
of the five so far and third would be finished in the next day or so.  A
small alarm went off.  Daniel glanced at his watch noticing what time it
was.  He carefully arranged the papers he had been working on into a small
stack.  It was time to go over to Sakura's.  Today was a very special day
for her,her birthday.  She should be almost finished with the preparations
by the time he arrived.  Daniel felt in his pocket, the small box he planned
to give to her tonight was still there.  He silently prayed he had the
courage and the willpower to give it to her.  They had been seeing each
other since the first day on this planet.  In fact almost all of their free
time was spent together.  They would leave the kids with their "uncles"
Touya and Yukito while they would be together sometimes just watching the
sunset.  His daughter Miki had been shy at first but then had met Sakura's
daughter Tomoyo.  They were about the same age, so they became friends
quickly.  Soon they were almost inseperable.   This gave Daniel even more
reason to spend time with Sakura.  Their sons also got along but with more
of a rivalry than friendship.  They were ten and both just starting to be
interested in girls.  Luck would have it they were both after the same one
too.  A second alarm went off bringing him back to reality.  If he didn't
hurry he might be late.  It was a five minute walk to her house from the
factory and there was one stop he wanted to make.  About halfway between the
two places was a flower shop,  Sakura loved flowers so he bought a bouqet of
Nadesicos, her favorites.  Seeing he had little time left he finished the
rest of the journey in a run.    Glancing at his watch as he turned the
corner to her house he noticed BB outside looking at the garden.  At first,
He had thought it would be best if BB cold stay with her friends in the
Bandit Clan,  but Sakura would not hear of that.  She couldn't understand
why someone would want to sleep on the cold hard ground instead of a nice
fluffy bed.  In the end Sakura had won but only on the condition that her
friends could visit any time.  BB was still getting used to her new found
powers.  She commanded the lighning which wasn't as useful as Touya's water
or Sakura's earth powers.  Yukito constantly used his wind powers to provide
a comfortable cool breeze around the house at all times.  BB thought that
Sakura's powers were the most practical of the five.  Sakura could command
any plant to grow where she wanted and to grow to any size as well.  Sakura
enjoyed working in the garden with the new types of exotic plants she could
create.  "  Hey BB," he greeted.  "Why so glum?"

  "Aiyah,"  cried a startled BB.  " I was just standing here admiring these
fruits called tomatoes.  We don't have anything like them in the Clan.  I
miss the days when we would go out and try to cause so much trouble that the
elder would admonish us.  Tasuke came to see me this morning.  He said he
missed all the fun we had together and wanted me to return with him,  but I
refused.  Sakura was right about those beds.  I even would reject living
with my beloved if I could sleep on that soft surface instead of cold hard
rock.  Tasuke was going to force me to come with him when Touya intervened.
Tasuke tried to fry him to a crisp, but was saturated instead.  Tasuke soon
left after that but promised to return to take me away.  I want to live with
him, but how can I?  We live in different worlds now.  My memories are
returning but is still a little hazy.  Sometimes I can't even remember what
happened yesterday."  BB looked a little lonely, but Daniel realized that
there was only one person that could fill the void.

    "Whazzup,"  a small loud mouthed creature yelled towards them.  He
turned already knowing it was Kero, but was surprised when a small bundle of
energy jumped into his arms as well.  " Hey munchkin,"  he teased his
daughter Miki.  " what you doing hanging out with a furball like Kero."

   "He's a good furball daddy."  responded the little girl.  " Mommy was
worried about you so she sent me and Kero-chan out here for you and BB.  You
know what, Daddy.  Moyo and I had lot's of fun today.  We built sandcastles
in the backyard.  Moyo's was larger than mine thoughthen we helped mommy
cook cookies then we had our nap then we got to eat some cookies  then then
then then......"  She kept rambling.  " whoa there little one," he implored.
" It sounds like you were a very busy girl today.  Hopefully you behaved
yorself."

   "That she did,"  Kero answered him.  Kero was enjoying himself on this
planet.  He no longer had to hide when people came to visit because of all
the strange talking animals in the surrounding area.  Kero had made a few
friends with the locals.  A pair of sweet loving bear cubs named Grin and
Barrett were among the first friends he had made.  He had also made friends
with a small puppy ,named Moe,who had started living with them after an
accident killed its mother.  "Any way Sakura says it's time for supper."  he
remarked as he flew back towards the house.  BB wanted to stay in the garden
for a few more minutes.  Holding his little girl he made his way to the
front of the house.  He knocked on the front door although he knew inside
that he could have just opened it and walked in.  He was too polite for his
own good,  especially since he knew who would answer the door anyway.

  "Whacha want, Gaki."  grumbled the disatraught brother.  Touya really
didn't hate Daniel but could stand that his little sister was in love with
someone like this.  Yukito had joked about Touya having a sister complex
towards Sakura.  From what Daniel had seen this seemed to be a fair
assessment of the situation, but it seemed to be more likely that he was
just being overprotective of her.  "Quit teasing Daddy ,Unca Touya, or Mommy
will hit you again."  Demanded the little five year old in Daniel's arms.
This was not an idle threat Touya had the bumps and bruises to show for it.
In room near the entrance Daniel could hear the sounds of a video game and
an upset guardian.  "Daddy, Yuu's hogging the PS9000.  Neither he, Syaoran
or Kero-chan allow me or Moyo to play at all."

    Touya was showing signs of discomfort.  "Gaki get your other munchkin
and leave."  In the kitchen Sakura listened to the whole conversation.  She
smiled.  Touya respected Daniel privately ,but would never admit it out
loud.  Leaning around the corner she called to him.  " Oniichan, quit
bothering him and help Yukito on th back porch.  I invited Daniel for my
Birthday celbration.  Leave him alone or I'll make sure Moe has a new
playmate his size too."   Touya gulped.  He knew this wasn't an idle threat.
With the Small card she could shrink him to the same size as the energetic
puppy.  He shrugged his shoulders and went out back to help Yukito.
"Thanks,"  he said as he gave her a kiss on the forehead.  Sakura blushed
heavily.  Daniel noticed a tug on his pants leg.  Looking down he saw
Sakura's daughter Tomoyo or Moyo as she was called.  He knelt down to her
eye level.  She gave him a large hug, crying.  "Welcome home, Daddy."  He
knew that she must miss her father greatly,  but did not understand why each
of their daughters started calling the other parent by mommy or daddy
respectively.  They had been doing this for six months now.  Maybe they saw
something that neither of the two parents could see.  Anyway it calmed
Tomoyo down when he arrived if she got to give him a hug.

    "Mommy, Daddy's home."  she cried.  "I can see that very clearly Moyo."
Sakura teased.  Could you and Miki set the table.  It would help Mommy a
lot."

    "Okay Mommy."  both little girls answered at once jumping out of
Daniel's embrace.  They ran laughing into the dining room where they were to
set the table.  "Daniel, go into the living room and make yourself
comfortable,  Dinner's almost ready."  Sakura suggested.  He wandered into
the huge living area .  He noticed Yukito sitting by the open door as well
as another unusual fellow with jet-black hair.    In this person's lap slept
a charcoal- colored cat.  "This is Hirigizawa Eriol."  Introduced Yukito.
"Eriol, this is Ginga Daniel, Sakura's current boyfriend."  Yukito had
already accepted Daniel into the family unlike his hot headed special
person.  Yukito had noticed how the atmosphere changed when Daniel was with
Sakura and had decided to give her the freedom to do what she wanted.  The
males began to conversate amongst themselves.

    "Nakuru,"  Sakura yelped.  "Sugar does not go into the Miso soup."  A
red haired vixen launched herself into the living room glomping herself onto
Touya.  "Touya, your sister's being mean to me again."  she pouted.  Touya
tried to rease himself from her vicegrips but to no avail.  Yukito eyes
began to burn with anger.  "Nakuru leave Touya alone or else."  He demanded.
"You don't have to get upset with it Yuki,  I was only playing."  came her
response.  She slunk over to Eriol's chair and started feeding the cat
sugar.

    "Yatta," cried an exuberant Kero. "I finally beat the gaki at his own
game."  Yuu was depressed.  He had kept the high score for the six months
since he had gotten the game a now a stuffed animal had beaten him.  Kero
was dancing happily when he noticed what Nakuru was doing.  "NAKURU, DON'T"
he yelled.  You know what happens when Suppi eats sweets."  It was too late.
Spinel was already waking up.  "Naakuurruu" he said drunkenly.  "What have
you done to me this time."  Spinel fired an energy blast that narrowly
missed Yukito, but left a hole in the wall next to him.

    "Shield"

    A barrier enclosed the small drunk cat so it wouldn't cause any more
damage until the sugar rush ended.  After five minutes Spinel drifted back
to sleep while the barrier dissapated.

    "Dinner's ready."  Sakura announced as she and a raven-haired beauty
brought the food into the dining room.  Eriol rose from his char and gave
his wife a kiss.  Tomoyo,  you an Sakura have outdone yourselves this time."
Nakuru had to sit at the children's table as punishment for giving Spinel
sugar.  She didn't mind it one bit.  She enjoyed being around the energetic
duo of Miki and Moyo.  The boys only would talk with Kero about the newest
video game to be released.  After all Nakuru was too old for their tastes.
she must be something of around 20 years old.  After dinner,  Daniel
motioned for Sakura's son Syaoran to come out to the garden with him.
Daniel thought that the ten-year old resented him for taking his father's
place in his father's place in Sakura's heart.  Syaoran barely talked to him
other than the customary how are you's.  Daniel knew he couldn't replace the
boy's father in his eyes but they might become good friends.  They were on
the porch talking for about five minutes when they returned.  " Thanks for
listening to me Syaoran."  he said gratefully.  "Sakura,"  he called
sweetly.  " Could you come here for a minute.?  I want o give you your gift
in private."  She blushed heavily and looked perplexedbut still followed him
out to the garden.

    "Hoe,"  she said as her face flushed with embarresment.  What could this
gift be that it couldn't be presented in front of family and friends.

    "Sakura,"  he said quietly as he gently kissed her hand.  This brought a
deeper shade of red to the young girls' face.  He knelt down onto one knee
and reached into his pocket.  He brought out a small box which he opened for
her.  " The present I want to give to you is one that will never go away.
It is my love for you.  I give you myself for the rest of our lives."
Inside the small package was a ring with a huge diamond resting on a small
golden circlet.  " Will you marry me, Sakura?  Will you make me the happiest
man alive?"

    "HHHHOOOOEEEE,"  came the reply.  This had come too unexpectedly.  She
loved him alright wanted spend the rest her life with him yes,but she never
knew that the feeling had been mutual.  She returned to her normal color
grasping the ring.  "Yes Daniel I will marry you.  I never thought that you
would ask me.  I though we were only going to remain friends.  This is the
best present you could have given me."  As they kissed fully on the lips.

    "I wanted to make sure it was okay with the most important man in your
life right now before I asked."  he replied.  " I talked to Syaoran tonight
about it and surprisingly he was shocked that I hadn't asked you yet.  I
guess the kids knew something that we didn't even have a clue about."  They
walked leisurely back to the living room keeping each other's eyes in sight
only to find it had been turned into a karaoeke bar.

    "What's the verdict, Mom?" asked Syaoran.  she knelt down in front of
her son and gave him a hug.  "I told him I would be proud to be his wife."

    "About Freakin' time."  Kero observed.  He then turned back around and
began munching on the Takoyaki he and Spinel were eating.  " I thought they
would never get together.  He's almost as shy as Sakura."  Touya was clearly
upset but saw how his siter was shining.  He shrugged his shoulders.  "Take
good care of her Gaki or I'll make sure you suffer."  Daniel thought that if
Sakura hadn't bee between them they might have been good friends, but as it
was now the two barely spoke to each other.  Touya was befuddled when he was
asked this question.  "Touya it would be a great honor if you would be my
best man at the wedding."  It was always assumed that Taka would get that
honor being Daniel's best friend, but here Daniel was giving it to the
person that probably liked him the least.  Touya facefaulted.  Daniel was
making every effort to become friends with him.  'If that's what you want,
Gaki."  was the only reply given.  Daniel knew if Touya hadn't been moved by
his offering he wouldn't have accepted it.

    Sakura was showing her ring to Tomoyo and Eriol when she asked Eriol a
question.  "Since my father is no longer with us, Eriol, could you give me
away at the wedding?  It would be almost like Daddy was doing it himself."
Eriol agreed to do it.  A date of July fourth was determined to be the best
time for the ceremony.  It was the happiest day in the couples life but
something ominous lurked in the air around them.  Something terrible was
going to happen soon.
