Who is this he are you talking about?
Jadeite. You said "Yosho was never the arrogant fool that Jedeite says
he is", and I pointed out that Jadite *saying* Yosho is an arrogant
fool doesn't mean Yosho *is* one.
<<But with Ryoko out of commission at that moment, Ryo-ohki could well
have spawned a more normal control panel for the others to control her
with.>>
In the original OAV, Ryoko was out of commission and Ryo-ohki did not spawned
a more normal control panel for the others to control her with, ie Tenchi,
Aayke, and Mishoshi, so what's so speical about the case now that Ryo-ohki
would all of a sudden spawn a more normal control which wasn't even built
into her.
<shrugs> Maybe Jadeite or Ranma asked, or Ryo-ohki could tell from
their motions that they could use one? Ayeka was definitely familiar
with panelless ships (her own was such), Mihoshi made no attempt at
controlling Ryo-ohki, and Tenchi wasn't familiar with ships at all
(Ryo-ohki could well imagine that panelless would be easier for a
novice). However, Ranma and Jadeite were; we saw that Ranma's main
recent ship experience was with ships with control panels, and since
that was standard Silver Millenium technology, it stands to reason that
such would be Jadeite's experience too.
Cabbits, you see, can be *very* user friendly. ^_^;
<<You mean like the way the SI parts of Ranma know some of what's going
to happen (like the fact that Ryoga would eventually show)? ^_->>
No, was in Jedi's gift, in touch with the nature, in touch with the force.
Not just voices in your head, like special case like Ranma. It has been
explained by the man who created the Jedi, George Lucas, that Jedi and Seths,
can see into immidiate future, that's why they seem to have such a good
reflexes.
I know, I know, just kidding...
<<How one first learns of one's power does not, in and of itself, affect
one's ultimate potential.>>
That is not true. Let me tell you why. If Ranma would have come to save
Tenchi instead of letting him get killed, and told him that you can do it.
Tenchi would have gotten killed again second time because he did not have the
access to the wings of the light hawk. Wings of the Light Hawk was able to
be created by Tenchi because Tsunami brought Tenchi back using the Wings of
the Light Hawk and herself.
Sorry, doesn't wash. If Tenchi did not have the power prior to being
save by Tsunami, then how could he handle the sword at all prior to
meeting her? The anime quite clearly states that the power is
inherited, which means Tenchi had it since birth (not that he was ever
stressed out enough to tap it before). There are hints of Tsunami's
influence, but those likewise would happen prior to or around Tenchi's
birth. (It is not beyond reason, in fact, that Tsunami's gift was
imbued to Yosho, who passed it on to Achika, who passed it on to
Tenchi. Certainly, all three of them have displayed similar power
levels, if wildly different levels of training.)
<<...when does he merge with Ifurita? ^_^>>
Ranma merges with Ifurita? I guess I did miss alot, I mean ALOT.
He hasn't yet. I was making a tongue-in-cheek prediction. ^_-
But, yeah, I'd heavily reccomend reading all the prior parts if you
haven't.
<<Dude...what do you think Project Sub-Zero *was*? When infused with
guidance (and thus, presumably, power) from The Divine, toss all prior
power calculations out the window. ^_->>
We are also talking about SSJ here, SSJ is more powerful then gods. Did you
forget that Goku can beat the god of earth without even going to SSJ? Did
you forget that Goku can kill and beat the dragon god with out turning into
SSJ? Did you forget that he can beat the ruler of the universe going SSJ?
If the Saiyans are (mostly) dead at this point, then the entire DB/DBZ
continuity has happened - at least, that part of it that's likely to
happen. Alternately, DB/DBZ is nothing more than an anime in this
reality (as explicitly stated at one point), based off of some
different tale from the past in the same way that Star Wars, Indiana
Jones, et al are based on Hanna-ne-George-Lucas's memories...and if
that is the case, then any canon citations of relative power levels go
out the window: the anime *says* X can beat Y, but reality (for Ranma
and company) is different. (Heck, maybe those are even intentional
exaggerations by, say, Mr. Satan who survived the "real" adventures and
rewrote the power levels so that no human would think him a danger,
when in fact he's an equal to Ranma but wanting to live in peace for
now.)
