<<Let's think about those three people. Tenchi, i.e. the panicking earthling

with no flight experience. Mihoshi, the burned-out G.P. detective who

redefines the word clutz. And Ayeka, Ryoko's foremost rival and a useless

noblewoman who seems to rely on her Guardians to pilot her own ship.

Granted, Jadeite isn't necessarily confidence-inspiring, but it's at least

remotely possible Ryo-ohki thought he was competent enough to pilot. It is

also possible that Washuu's decision to use Ranma's genes for Ryoko rather

than Masu genes may have somehow given Ryoko cause to want manual controls.

(And it might have changed her hair color too. Duh.)>>

Hmmm....giving Ryoko a cause for wanting manual control still does not
explain manual control being there. Ryoko rides Ryo-ohki, but Ryoko does not
do repairs on Ryo-ohki nor does she know the built of Ryo-ohki. It is rather
clearly stated in later mangas as well as rather earilier OAV that Ryoko had
no idea how Ryo-ohki was built or what it was built with. Ryoko knew only
one thing, that Ryo-ohki was with her as long as she remembered and everytime
it got destroyed, it seemed to duplicate itself. So, is there a possibility
that Ryoko would have actually built a manual control on Ryo-ohki, I guess if
YOU say so, then it must be so isn't it? Duh.)

<<True. However, I believe it might be more accurate to say they FEEL the

immediate future on a nonconcious level. Reading the Star Wars books from

Luke's point of view, (including the recent ones where Luke is a Master), it

becomes apparent that a Jedi is not necessarily going "Well, he's going to

swing his lightsaber in an overhand strike, so I'll..." It's at least

remotely possible Ranma and friends could be doing this on a subconcious

level...>>

Ranma and friends doing that on subconcious level? What a big b.s. You know
as well as I do, that only reason why they seem to know things so much is
because they, Carrot and Dan watched all the anime and all the movies that
some how Ranma seems to end up in, or at least very very very clost
situations. They know what seems to happen before it happen because they all
seen the movie, have previous knowledge. Now, true Jedi power is not someone
being possessed with spirit or spirits of people who have watched the movie
that you seem to be stuck in so that you know what's going to happen before
it happens. Any arguments?

<<I'm not entirely sure what you mean by your first few statements. It seems

likely Ranma was simply making a joke and trying to boost Tenchi's

confidence, not inform him to use secret Force techniques Ranma had been

imparting to him in segments of time that weren't detailed in the fanfic.

Tsunami DID bring Tenchi back to life, and it was detailed in the fic.

(Reread carefully if you missed it, but Ranma waves at Tsunami when she's

recovering Tenchi's body.) As was detailed in the manga and to a lesser

extent in the anime, Tenchi's potential to use the Jurai power is inborn.

He's always had it. He will always have it. Period. That is in fact why

Tenchi named after the sword-key. Ranma's encouraging him in his initial use

of the Jurai power means nothing in terms of Tenchi's absolute potential.

Tenchi's confidence is a separate issue, but accepting encouragement from

someone else on one occasion does not mean you'll always need encouragement.>>

Let me see, so you are saying that Tenchi's Wings of the Light Hawk is Jurian
power that all jurians have? I mean by your argument, that's what it suppose
to be. Which is not true. Read the later manga as well as the second time
he uses the wings of the light hawk in the OAV. Tenchi can create the wings
of the light hawk because of Tusnami's power within him. He holds Tsunami's
power inside him, so he needs no outside energy, and that's why even after
Soja cut off all outside energy, he could still create the wings of the light
hawk. He had the power within himself, after being recreated by Tsunami.
Now, in this fic, Ranma seem to play major role in trying to bring Tenchi to
trust himself, part which Tenchi does by remembering the words of Tsunami in
the OAV. Any comment on that one that you would like to make?

<<Well, obviously... Carrot is not a human, he's an author. An SI author. The

fact that there's SOME justification for the transformation is an indication

of his forbearance. If Carrot wants give his characters power he will,

either by changeing them into saiyajins, giving them Jurai power, mergeing

them with Demon Goddesses... However, it seems at least possible their

initial transformation did NOT initially in actual saiyajin genes, and the

similarity to a saiyajin transformation was because of the unnatural

physiological results of two minds manifesting ki in one body (Kinda like

overclocking your computer processor)... but Mara's mistaken attempt to

'restore' Ranma's tail may have accidentally imbued him with saiyajin genes.

The Ranma-collective noted that this was possibly the reason Chibi-Usagi is

considerably more powerful than Ryoko. Ryoko already did have a tail in

Tenchi-canon, so she may have a bastardized version of the SSJ

transformation rather than the type imparted by any saiyajin genes. On the

other hand, given time and resources Washuu is frankly capable of just about

anything, so who knows what she did with this version of Ryoko? The next

full moon may clear up some mysteries.>>

Let me get this straight, you think Ryoko has a tail? Oh man, you must go
back and read the Tenchi manga as well as watch the OAV again. Ryoko's tail
is not her tail, it comes with her clothes that she likes to wear. The
horizontal stripped one, blue and yellow. The tail is part of the clothes
she wears, not because she is born with it. I don't know if you actually
know much about the animes that you are trying to dispute with me. But the
fact is the fact, Ryoko does not have a tail outside of that clothes. If you
have seen her with tail any other time, such as when she's bathing, which we
have seen several times, and without the tail I might add, then you let me
know. Also, I didn't know, if the tail really is Ryoko's, that it was
detachable and reattachable. Which she seems to do everytime she takes a
bath, put on different clothes and such.

<<The Kami-sama of 'Dragonball Z' is not necessarily the Kami-sama of 'Ah My

Goddess'. This is a crossover, and it's obvious some of the kami of this

universe are FAR more powerful than the Dragonball kami. Otherwise, how

would they have destroyed the saiyajin race in the first place? (It should

be noted that the kami of Dragonball Z did NOT have the Norse influence so

many of Carrot's and AMG's kami seem to possess. Perhaps events in the past

led the collective kami of Carrot's (and the AMG) Earth down a differerent

path. The creation of the Yggdrasil computer system seems a VERY likely

possibility. In fact, Loki's whining about his inability to run 'even a

low-level program' to disrupt Project Sub-Zero is very revealing. Clearly

the individual gods dervive much of their power from the Yggdrasil. Perhaps

it now holds much of their former power, collected into one entity.)

That said, this is after all fanfiction, and a rather broad crossover at

that. Quibbling over minor departures from canon seems rather odd when

Carrot is mergeing together so many series. Obviously a few are going to

have to be reinterpreted a bit. I'm actually rather pleased with how much

trouble the Ranma-collective is having despite their high power-level.

Hopefully Carrot can keep the story from becoming unbalanced.>>

Some of the kami's in that world being more powerful then Kami's of
DragonballZ....well, if you have read Dragonball Z all of it, then you will
note, that first, Saijins were not destoryed by the Kami's, it was Freaza,
second Dragonball Kami's have power enough to blow up earth, except Dende,
because he is not combat Namek. I seem to remember, Norse goddesses as well
as norse gods not being able to destory the whole planet. I've read the
manga for Oh My Goddess, and the most impressive thing there was the Lord of
Terror, suppose to be all powerful demon and he wasn't even all that powerful
to begin with.

I admit that this is fanfic and that fanfic authors can do whatever they want
with it, however, can you still call something Ranma1/2 and other anime
crossover fanfic when you change things to much, all it is, is there are some
characters with the name Ranma and whatever in the story, and not really
Ranma1/2. Can you still call them Ranma1/2 fanfic? I seem to remember some
fanfics that had a guy name Ranma, and he was nothing like Ranma1/2
character, actually the guy named Ranma was a space pirate and he travel
around the universe doing stuff, no curse, no martial arts, no getting into
trouble, nothing. Can you still call that Ranma1/2 fanfic?
