A Sinusoidal Curse
* Tendo Home, the usual setup *
Soun Tendo sat crying in happiness, holding a postcard to his heart.
" At last, the families will be joined ! I have to tell my daughters".
A few moments later the whole family sat together and soon the father was under
the fire of his daughter's ire.
"Father ! How dare you engage us to somebody we've nether met !" snapped the
usually
calmer Kasumi. "He could be a pervert for all we know !" continued the
youngest, Akane.
*Meanwhile, nearby*
The streets of Nerima were suddenly awakened by sounds of screaming and
fighting. A giant Panda (?) was quickly spotted fighting a red and black blur.
Said blur
was apparently having quite a bit of a difference with the beast, yelling at
him :
"Pop ! How could you engage me to a girl I've never met ! " (do you notice a
trend ?)
The astonished public reacted with great confusion to that.
"How strange ! I didn't know girls could marry girls." said one observer.
"You stupid can't you see it's a boy!" his neighbor replied.
"I don't know, he seems pretty feminine for a boy." another answered.
The confusion and disagreement between the assembly quickly degenerated,
Nerima-style, before it was simply solved by the disappearance of the fighters
in another
street.
Despite having pounded his opponent into the ground, the smaller figure made
the
amateur mistake of turning his back to the fallen creature, and was rewarded by
being
knocked out. The panda took a look at the unmoving form laying before him, and
in a
rare insight of genius thought "Perhaps I should change him back before going
to the
Tendo".
A few moments later, at the Tendo home, after hearing the bell, Kasumi went to
the door, to meet a big, scary-looking panda(well, not really) , an unconscious
boy on his
shoulder, who quickly ran past her into the arms of the Tendo patriarch.
After a while, a few screams, and a cup of hot water, things got to the
critical
point :
"Here my boy, pick one and she will be your wife !"
Then, the problems started.
"Hey, wait a moment" said Nabiki "For all we know, he could be cursed like his
father. I
don't want to marry a panda". Her two sisters nodded at that.
"Don't worry he doesn't turn into a panda like me" replied Genma, tried to
reassure the
girls.
"Why should we believe you" doubted Nabiki.
"How can I show you� ? I know, here !" with that dreadful exclamation, Genma
took
his son and threw him into the pond (as if you didn't see that coming).
After seeing Ranma dropped into the water, Nabiki commented. "He's a girl ! ".
Her sister Kasumi took one look at him and said "Why Nabiki, I think you're
wrong, he's
still a boy!".
"He's both, he's a freak ! " yelled Akane.
Soun took the hint and turn toward the elder Saotome. "Perhaps you can explain,
old friend."
Genma took his best story-teller voice and started a very-tragic-story-straight-
from-jusenkyo.
*Insert classic flashback*
The Jusenkyo guide looked at the customer in the pool and sighted. Turning to
the
newly-born panda, he explained.
"Ah sir! Very unlucky. Your son fall in pool of drowned girl-cursed-by-pool-of-
drowned-boy. Very tragic story of girl, 1500 years ago who came to train here
and fell
into the spring of drowned boy, before drowing in this spring. Now, whoever
fall in this
spring take boy of girl, but since girl cursed, changes right back into boy.
But since
boy and wet, changes to girl. Very tragic story !!
The panda sweatdropped and signed "You don't say."
*End flashback.*
The Tendo father took one look at the sometimes boy, sometimes girl,
periodically changing figure. The he fainted.
Ranma sighed, he had gotten used to this kind of reaction
