Any suggestions on formatting would be appreciated.  This is my first actual
fanfic post.  And it's a spamfic.  Oh well...

A very different final battle?

As the senshi entered the negaverse to fight Beryl, they were supprised to
discover that there was to resistance to their entry.  Entering the blasted
landscape of the Negaverse, they started to move toward where Metallia was
waking.

Only to soon hear a large number of explosions and gunfire.  They heard a
scrambling behind them.  As they spun around, they saw a number of youma
heading for them.  As the Senshi braced for combat, they were shocked as the
Youma, in an apparant panic, raced past them.  Only to be destroyed as
hulking armored figures popped up from hidden spots and cut the Youma down
in a hail of bullets and energy beams.  One of the Youma still struggled to
rise, only to be incenerated by a flamethrower one of the troops held.

The troops were in massive armored suits, carrying large caliber pistols,
energy weapons, grenades, rocket launchers, and other instruments of
destruction.  Despite the heavy load each one carried, they still moved
quickly and easily.  Each had many markings on their armor, possibly
indicating rank and honors.  The Senshi's contemplation of the troops came
to an abrubt turn as the troops pointed their weapons in the Senshi's
direction.

What appeared to be a leader of the troops approached the Senshi.  He spoke
to them in a language unknown to the Senshi.  Sailor Moon asked "What to do
you want with us?".  The leader responded "Follow me if you want to live."

As the Senshi followed the troop through landscape that had started out
'blasted', but was rapidly reaching another level, as large numbers of Youma
were destroyed by various methods.  The Senshi saw as a number of Youma who
had forted up in an outcroping of rock were destroyed by what had to be
artillery fire.  They were attacked only once by a group of youma, who were
destroyed with lethal efficiency by the troop.

Soon, the senshi saw a fortress under construction.  Surronded by the
unknown soldiers, earthmoving equipment had already raised large walls of
earth, on which large guns had been placed.  Metal walls were being raised
behind this.  Large tracked vehicles were sitting around, which appeared to
be command vehicles. They also saw the artillery that was constantly firing.

The leader of the troop led the senshi into the fortress under construction
to one of the tracked vehicles parked there.  Entering it, the senshi
followed to find a different group of soldiers, these in red armor.  Some
communication apparently went between them, because the rest of the troop
that had escorted them in left, and the red armored troops led the senshi
and the leader from the first troop to another, plain tracked vehicle.
Entering, they saw the troops' faces for the first time as they doffed their
helmets.  As they continued inside they heard a cheery voice say "Hello, you
sure aren't local to here!"

They turned to see a person in a sky-blue buttoned shirt and jeans walking
toward them.  The leader of the original troop bowed to this man.  The
troops in red just kept their weapons pointed in the Senshi's general
direction.  Not actually pointing at them, but in a general 'we'll shoot you
very quickly if you do something wrong' way.

The man in the blue shirt said "Welcome to what's soon to become the newest
subject state in the Evil Overlord's domain.  How may I assistance to you?"

Yes!  It's a crossover of Sailor Moon/'If I ever become an Evil Overlord'

Written in about 1/2 hour.  It just popped into my head.  Note:  I haven't
seen Sailor Moon, but I've read a bunch of fanfics (crossovers) about it,
and this just seemed a perfect setup.  I might flesh it out more later.  If
somebody could point out where to get more detail (preferably not geocities
or angelfire as work has that blocked), that would be nice.

Having problems with the good guys wiping you out?  Just take over other
'evil' domains, the good guys won't raise a fuss.  Sign a treaty with them.
You know they won't break it.  Incude a mutual-defense clause.  I mean, when
don't you have a few spare regiments?  When you have people using special
powers that you can't counter, call on the good guys.  If you want a picture
of the troops, think Space Marines.  The reason they doff their helmets in
the presense of the overlord is so that heroes can't sneak in.  I couldn't
really see re-designed marine armor for clear helmets.  Less intimidating.
