It seems that everyone on the list is saying something about the FFML closing down, so I thought it'd only be right to do the same thing.
I was introduced to the list last year by my good friend Travis Kennedy. Now I know that there had been some problems between him and a few people on the list, but he was adament about me signing up and posting stories. I can gladly say that I was happy that I did, as this list has given me a lot, it's given me connections, it's given me friends around the world, it allowed me to do something I enjoy in reading and writing, and I was able to share my ideas and my thoughts with the rest of the world. I've written good stories, I've written bad ones, I've been right, I've been wrong, and whichever way you look at it, we've seen each grow not just as writers or story critics, but as human beings. So it is sad that the list will have to go, even if only for a while to come back as whatever it will come back as. I know that I haven't played a large part in the list recently, but like all of us, we go on to other things. Now sadly we all must move on to newer oppotunities. The F!
anFiction Mailing List will surely be missed.
Only other thing I have to say concerns those who intend to set up their own Fic lists. I'd be more than happy to be one of the admins for the list, as there's nothing left for me to do. Well I hope that wherever you are, whatever you do, you find what's best in life. So long.
