To ensure no one misses this message, I've taken off all VACATION flags.
For the last year, the FFML has been running off a home connection of a
friend. This friend is now starting a home business, and can no longer
afford to have his bandwidth used by me. (I should note that I wasn't
paying him for this, he was donating the connection out of the goodness of
his heart.)
So, on Jan 31st, 2001, I'll be turning off incoming list messages. It'll
churn away for a few days after that, sending out anything that makes it
in before that deadline.
What does this mean? Well, it means at the very least a short hiatus.
The machine will remain in its current location for a time. When I find a
new home for it, I'll turn the list back on. In the event that I do not
find a new home, I'll send out a final message before shutting it down.
How can you help? If you live in the DC area, and have a T1 that I can
use for free (be warned that I can fill it with traffic), email me.
Please. Even if you know a place I can place a machine cheaply, email me.
