The skies were dark as a couple hurried home and off the streets of
perhaps the strangest ward in all of Tokyo. The residents here were
accostomed to weirdness since the arrival of one Satome Ranma. For one year,
the young man with the ability to turn into a girl had left in his wake a
world many never would have believed to be true. With him came curses,
martial artist feats from legends, mystical creatures and a romance that even
many novelist couldn't coup to comprehend. In the end, a fairy tale had to
end and so it did in a far off land, fighting a half-god who took his name
after his nature, Lord Saffron, the Pheonix Lord. Ranma, the greatest
martial artist of his time disappeared under the explosive power of Saffron's
strongest ki blast.
The battle ended with one mountain destroyed and another having lost its
peak. The Lord himself had fallen after the battle with the human boy. What
surprised many of the witnesses not native to Mount Pheoinx was his
resurrection from the flames of a bon fire that reached to the heavens above.
Tendou Akane had survived the encounter when the last blast had cracked
the earth beneath her and up sprang the very essense that she needed to be
revived.
Many of Ranma's companions left China with sad faces since each held in
their hearts certain feelings for the fallen hero. Though not all loved
Ranma, they all felt he was one of their own. With no body to bring back to
Japan, they brought with them their memories.
Time moved on from this point where three years later a young man
followed a path leading to the wedding of Tendou Kasumi and Oni Tofu.
Watching the beautiful bride, the strange boy smiled and melted back into the
shadows undetected or so he thought.
"I thought I sensed you," a voice said from behind the boy.
"Heh, I thought I hid my aura better," the boy replied.
"You can't hope to sneak away from the grandmaster of your school did
you, Ranma?"
"I had hoped," Ranma replied to Happosai.
"I was surprised when I sensed you. If you were alive why did you
disappear during the fight with Saffron?"
"I wanted the mess to be over with. I also wanted to see who really
loved me."
"I can't let you leave, Ranma. You are my heir and also one of my joy in
life," Happosai replied.
Ranma could see some drool forming near Happosai's mouth. "See you later
old man," Ranma replied dashing away, using the ultimate technique of the
Saotome branch of Anything Goes.
"Wait, Ranma!" Happosai yelled which brought everyone out of the
receptiont o see what the commotion was all about.
The ones quick enough saw a figure running away with Happosai in pursuit.
"Ranma?" a few people whispered.
To be continued?
I do not know. This idea jumped into my head.
