Heh! For a short, quick spamfic, this is very good.
said. "Akane... Nabiki... Kasumi... Kodachi... Xian Pu...."
"Shan."
"Huh?"
"Name *not* Xian. Name Shan. Why so hard for everyone get right?"
Yeah, yeah, rub it in. Make that digression!
All his life, that stupid panda had been making all his
choices for him, planning his entire life without ever
asking or even caring how *he* felt. Now Ranma would marry
her, and they'd open up an okonomiyaki shop and have three
children, and....
Ukyou, in the handy capsule version. Well-phrased.
Oh, what a happy life they would have together, once they
moved back to the Amazon village and she taught
him his proper role as a male.
OTOH, this seems to me to reflect more fanfic convention on
the horrors of marriage to Shampoo rather than Takahashi
canon. For one thing, there is little to no indication in
the manga that either Shampoo or Cologne actually _wants_
to move back home. (Granted, for a quick fic I wouldn't
have re-thought everything through from scratch either.)
How about: "together; once they were married, he'd be
hers to manipulate. And punishment for straying eyes was
only a bucket of water away." or something.
senses and now saw things clearly, and without even the need
for drug therapy.
...after all, Ranma SO adores her laughter...
He could go marry the dog next door, for all she cared.
Heh. Advertising your own work?
Looking down, she noticed the mangled hunk
of tin in her hand. Oh well, it was just an old spare cup anyway.
Akane strikes me as slightly OOC here; although inarticulate
in these circumstances, she usually seems to me to be aware
of her own feelings. Takahashi would draw her as highly
anticipatory and very nervous, for instance.
"'My decision is that I prefer the creamy smooth kind of
peanut butter.' Signed, 'Ranma Saotome.'" Nabiki folded
the paper and inserted it back into the envelope.
Good punch line. I can actually see Ranma taking pride in
making such an inconsequential decision, too.
"Then again, chunky peanut butter's pretty good too...."
...and poor Ranma can't even stick with THIS decision,
supposedly "final"...
